I had my sub out for the whole week as I had to move some stuff. I just went to put it back in and I found that my amp no longer powers.
I checked the wiring at the battery that seems to be fine, all wires on the amp seem to be intact.
What else can I check?
Thanks,

The in-line fuse by the battery looks fine. The amp is grounded properly. To check headunit means I would have to pull that out right?

yup but i don't think you would have to do that but thats odd..just hope the amp didnt blow. take it to an audio specialist. thats what i did when all my wiring came loose on my system and some of it melted in my engine bay:flaming

I had melted wiring too, but that was the past. I still have warranty of mine, maybe I can get a new one lol.

good idea but then your going to have live wire running through your car..how are you going to solve that?

did u check if the remote wire is connected, easy way to check if it is behind ur deck is to take a small wire and out it on the 12V input of the amp and then ur remote wire input on ur amp, maybe its that.
also if u have a multimeter handy, check if u have 12v at the amp
other then that i think phil covered the other posibilities haha. and even if u fuse looks good might not mean it is good

Got it checked out today at Best Buy since I got the PSP plan. Amp blew a fuse and won't give proper output to sub for some reason.
Off to repairs. Thanks for your inputs.

Nope, I don't think they have any. I can live without it for a few weeks. lol

When u took the sub out, did u leave the speaker wiring connected to the amp? If you did, there might be a chance that the "+" and "-" speaker wires touched while u were driving and fried the amp. If u removed the wires from the amp, or taped them away from each other, then there maybe a problem with the wiring. Check the REM turn on and see if its connected probably.

Amp died, I'm getting a replacement under PSP from Best Buy. =)
Has anyone done a PSP exchange before? I'm on Best Buy's website right now and I don't see my amp for sale anymore. There's no Rockford's at all does that mean I get to pick one myself?

They will give you a replacement that they feel is of similar quality/power rating. My brother had his amp replaced by Futureshop and it was way under rated as they didn't make his amp any more. If you don't get offered something close to what your old amp was definitely may a stink about it.

What would I specifically look for?
The Max output and if it has bass control?

This sounds dumb but somtimes fuses dont actually blow, I had a fuse that was intact from top to bottom but wasnt working, When i changed the fuse it started to work. I still have the fuse around that doesnt work, im quite confused. It allows less voltage , around 6V

Hard to say. If it's a 2-channel or mono then they "should" replace it with that of the same. The power rating should be the same but you never know. Usually if they don't have something close it will get replaced with something better. Hopefully this happens in your case but they always seem to cheap out.
You'll just have to ask and see what they say. My bro was without his amp for over a month while the determined the problem, etc. just to say ok you can have a new replacement.

Well in my case, they called me on friday, took them 2 weeks. And said I'm getting a PSP Exchange.
Thanks for the advice, I'll try to make sure they don't cheap out on me.
