Will a CAI cause a hike to gas mileage. I mean yes there is more air but wont the engine need more gas to burn and equalize the burn. I know a CAI is more power :gone but how much does the gas mileage go up by.

Of course it makes your mileage go to shit, your pressing on the peddle to hear it all the time.
If you drive the exact same way, it won't change at all.

Adding a CAI actually reduce gas consumption becuase the engine will run with less effort. I use to get around 9.1 per liter. After the installing the CAI I am getting around 8.5 per liter. I am doing 50% City & 50% highway. I don't drive like grandny either.

Agreed that the Gas mileage is going to be shittier now isn't more air meaning that the air/gas mixture ratio is almost perfect thus improving gas mileage as opposed to killing it more. rather than jus the sound..

Air/fuel ratio is the same no matter how cold or warm. Your engine is still more effecient with the CAI. Mileage should improve...

You said adding a CAI reduces gas consumption yet you get less mileage per liter? How does that even make sense?
