I have a 05 mazda3 GS sedan and for a while now the door locks have been going nuts .
After i get in the car and close the door the locks start locking and unlocking by themselfs and today was even doing it while i was driving .
I think this started since i took my car to Dufferin Mazda for the door recall .
Anybody have any sugestions that can help me , so i dont have to spend a ton of money at the dealer .........:flaming

First make sure all of your doors are closed properly. This has happened to a few people.

try re programming your keys.

It even does it when i take the key out of the ignition and close the drivers door , even if i dont lock it with the remote.
Just a little while ago i left the keys on top of the seat and closed the drivers door and it locked by it self good thing i was home to use the spare key to open the door.

I still say try reprogramming your keys/remotes. It will take five minutes or less, and is worth the diagnosing effort.

take it back to the dealer and tell them all was ok before they did the door recall plate now your locks are going crazy, you should have taken it back as soon as it happened..how long after the work was done did it happen, thought the plate was for GTs only or am I confused and thinking of something else???? what was the door recall???

Finally got my problem fixed ,i went back to Dufferin Mazda and they said they had nothing to do with them ,it wasnt their fault .
So i went to MOT bought the locking mechanism and fixed it myself.
Very happy with MOT great service and prices.........
Dufferin Mazda does not know how to take care of their costumers.........

I have heard this happens when your batteries are dying in the remotes.

Had a family member with a Toyota Camry doing the exact same thing. We changed his batteries in the remotes and we have seen the problem since. It has been 5 months.

It freaked him out when the locks just started going crazy!

Funny stuff.

what is a locking mechanism? do all doors have this, are you talking about the switches on the driver side door?

yes all doors have this ,it has nothing to do with the switches on the drivers door ..
Its the part that when you close the door it latches on to the pillar ......
The part # BAN7-59-310A ........
Maybe somebody can explain it better......

The only one i changed was the drivers door, it was the chip inside the locking mechanism that was afffecting all the other doors ........
