Hey,
so when i push the clutch in, i can hear crackling and creaking noises coming from the transmission area. and i can feel the clutch crackling and creaking at the same time. This all happens when i push the clutch in. More so when its cold, so at first i thought it was just a cold thing but the other day when it was above zero it was still doing it.
anyone have any idea???
p.s. if it is something with the clutch am i gonna get reemed in the a#$, because its after 1 year and i have more than 20000km ?

it might be just with pedal/clutch linkage, where the pedal arm attaches to the pedal group might need to be lubed up. Is there any issue changing gears or slippage?

no, not issues changing gears, or slippage. The only thing is that the shifting through the gears seems a little rougher, maybe time for a tranny fluid change?
oh a side note, what intervals should the fluid be changed?
but the car just went in for the 48000km service, would they not lube the linkage then?

manual transmission fluid gets changed very infrequently I'd have to double check but i'd say 100,000 + . If its just clunky changing gears you may just want to try getting aluminum shifter bushings and see if it helps, unless of course you want to go for the whole enchalada and get the short shifter kit which comes with the bushings.

ya ive been toying with the idea about that kit......
car went in last yesterday, obviously the noise wasn't found but i got them to lube the whole system reallllll good, KY all around

you should probably have someone inspect the clutch linkage as well. you're still under warranty so i would ask the dealer to inspect it. sit in the car with the tech, and depress the clutch. make sure the tech can hear the sounds. they may be able to tell you right away what the problem is, and arrange for it to be fixed.

that is a good idea, wish i had thought about that!
i'll have to do that another time though, and on a saturday.
The noise is gone for now though, it always did leave though when it got a little warmer (as in the temperature outside, not the car getting warm)
