I have a question to ask which I could not find the answer for by searching. Is there some kind of a law that states Mazda Dealers are not "allowed" to wash customers cars after any type of service, ex warranty, oil chage ect. I went into to get my faulty tire patched today and the dealer notifed me that they would not wash cars because the ministary would not allow them to? I have never in my life heard anything like this from any other dealership or any other brand of car dealership. If someone could clear this up it would be great. I want to know if they are just lazy and dont want to wash the car or is there some actuall law set in place to prevent them from doing this. I have no trouble getting my family cars washed or having my Mazda washed without even asking at Oakville Mazda. Anyone know the answer please reply

I think Gonzo25 is on the right track. Most dealers will wash your car. However, if they are busy, they likely won't. As well, washing a customers car takes time, even if it is just 5-10 minutes, someone is being paid for that time. Understand, they may not want to wash your car, as the dollar value of service was low.

I've never had my car washed at a dealership after service.

Even if they offered I would pass and wash it myself. You never know what kind of debris that could be on the wash mitt they are using.

I know from experience that some service places - dealers and independent shops - no longer wash customers' cars because they got tired of dealing with complaints about damage.

I have also heard of some municipalities trying to pass local by-laws banning car-washing in driveways. Apparently there is often oil, antifreeze and other toxic stuff mixed in the dirt on cars and some people don't like it going down the storm sewers. I don't know how or if this affects dealers or other shops.

Oakville was kind enough to wash my car today after changing my oil. (thanks guys!)
So I don't think it's illegal or a universal rule.

I am thinking its bull crap saying the ministary doesent allow it, I can understand if they say there busy but making up something like that is very unprofessional, I dont know how stupid they think customers are, not impressed.
also asking for 65 dollars for a tire patch is ridiculous too lol, I dident pay anyways, for 120 u can buy a new tire , w/e I aint gonna stress out too much, sometimes its better to just leave it alone, Iam pissed about this but w.e it is what it is. thank you all for ur views on this

I agree. Maybe something was missed in translation. To me it doesn't sound like a big deal.
