After researching everywhere, i need some help about setuping a audio system.

I will be putting in 2 front and 2 back speakers 6.5 and the tweeters that come along with it.

The product name is Alpine SPR-17ls

6-1/2" Type-R Component 2-Way Speaker
350W Peak Power
70W RMS
External Crossover with 6-StepTweeter Level Adjusment

My question is, can the stock unit power these speakers? Do i need an Amp. I will not be hooking any subs or anything like that?,
What is needed to just plug and play these speakers.Im a noob, so please exaplin best as possibly can.

Thanks Mike

You are going to want an amp for the speakers. The stock system is underpowered.

+1 what Ami says!! The oem hu's are rated at 18Watts rms...Your going to need a 4-channel amp, with a minumum of 70watts RMS per channel, to run those speakers properly and a LOC-(line output converter) to connect the amp to the HU.

So to play the devil's advocate here, just to confirm, that's not to say that the OEM head unit will not work with the aftermarket mids..... it's just to say that the mids won't be utilized to it's full capability.

And a further devils advocate, you do not NEED 70 watts per channel to run those speakers at all but a higher power rating is going to help you IF you want to play them loud (and lets say keep up with a sub that is designed to kill Kenny by bass). There are all sorts of options for you, the question is whether you want to do it right the first time or not. Then do you want to do it all right away or do it in stages to get the outcome that you want?

Kinda agree. With components, u do need a 4 channel. Deck alone wont really cut it. If u dun want to add a 4channel, then just put replacement speakers instead.

Isn't that what I said! :), but understand also that the underpowered amp in the oem HU will not drive those speakers near their capabilty, hense the possibilty or (probability) that the HU may be driven too hard eg; (volume+bass has been raised to compensate for low output and lousy sound) by the listener,....this could lead to clipping of the amp, which would eventually lead to damaging those nice new speakers.

It comes down to what kind of sound the OP wants plus doing it right the first time (why do it any other way?), that's why I suggest matching the amps RMS to the RMS of the speakers....it's the safest and best method to protect your investment and guarantee the best sound from your purchase.
