Calling all Polarion HID - Longevity of Kits

Hi everyone,

I am looking at HID kits and it's a decision between either the best kit or the cheapest kit. I have done some research on TM3 and Mazda3Forums. Before Polarion kits can be purchased from XenonExpert and XenonFactory, but now only XenonFactory (local pickup) sells the Polarion kit.

I know that on this board, there are about 5 members who have Polarion kits, they are:

So basically, I would like to ask people (on the list or not) a few questions.

What is your Kelvin level is your Polarion kit?
How long have you had your Polarion HID installed?
Have any of you have any problems since the install?
Any change in colours over the years?


Lastly, has anyone bought stuff from XenonFactory? Are they a trusted reliable company?

Aside: Maybe someone can start a survey thead indicating which HID kits people have (brand and kelvin), when was their install, and problems. This way we can maintain a database to see the longevity of various HID kits and their reliability.

i actually have an XTEC HID kit...but i'll answer the questions anyway

1) 5000K
2) since September 2004
3) no issues yet...still on original ballasts but not the bulbs
4) 1 bulb colour shifted to about 4000K (yellower) in 2005, the other bulb went green then blew in 2007. both were replaced under the lifetime warranty

Here goes:

Since November 2004
Have any of you have any problems since the install?
No problems at all
Any change in colours over the years?
None. Its always been a pure white light

I paid $500 USD for it at the time.
