The rest of the oakville experience doesn't matter.

Oh yeah, they washed the winter off my car and now I can clearly see all the wonderful stone chipped marks and door dings all over my car.

Thanks.

I almost forgot about those since it was covered in a thick coating of dirt, salt, grime, and crap.

Great cookies though! My only suggestion is leave a box of a dozen cookies in each car.

But it's not all about the cookies and car washes is it? :chuckle

I don't want to hurt the feelings of the technicians and staff. I assume that the service experience was great too! :)

Thanks for the positive words.

PS. If anybody drives down from Richmond Hill, we can give you an extra cookie for the road.

Sounds like there should be two cookies and a mint on the dash when returning cars to their owners after a service.

I think the thread name should be changed to add in "great people"

Oakville Mazda has definitely won over my heart. I'm converted! 16k service is coming up soon and I know where I'm heading.

As for the cookies: my son loved them when we were in. So if a 2 year olds opinion matters and I think it should as he is a definite cookie critic they are amazing! I shall have to try one myself when I'm in for my 16k service.

Yes everyone's always great at Oakville Mazda that's a given. But I had a cookie for the first time.

Its always the little things that count.

In a way, and technically people spend hundreds on service, drive out in their car and its great. But there's a lack of something in their hands, that tangible-ness and something take away.

I did spend an amount of dollars, my car is great, but dammit, I got a cookie.

Who else gives fresh baked goods?

Nobody else. When I was at Markham Mazda I gagged on their coffee.

I say your new dealer location, you should set up a little cafe style booth and have small treats. BMW, benz has it, you can too and shouldn't have to cost tens of thousands to run it.

Thumbs up for being different.

Maybe it can be put next to the massage chairs and hot tub. Make it happen!

You know who else, Simply Tire has cookies and fresh Timmies coffee and premium tea bags.

I was surprised and happy.

Sure I got awesome winter tires but I also had a few cups of Japanese Green tea and Dad's Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Finally treated myself to a cookie today. Tasty indeed!
All kidding aside, the cookies are just one of the ways Oakville demonstrates their commitment to going the extra mile for the sake of customer satisfaction and earning people's loyalty. Cheers to Oakville.. It's great to have a dealership you have confidence in, and it's refreshing to see a dealership that "gets it".

We should have a Oakville Meet/Party when they first move? Have a tour of the new place maybe? Might be cool to do that...

They should have a big BBQ then, see their skills at cooking.

Cookies are so far a good indicator.

They are moving just off the QEW near Third Line...Right next to the Acura dealer...Map below for approx. distance they are moving XD

http://www.dump.sdamv.com/QuickDump/OakvilleMazda.jpg

Give or take, that general area. So should be easier to get in and out of since it will be bigger and should be a lot less traffic on that road.

ohh so its gonna be right on North Service Rd. that would make it a lot easier to get to off the highway. have they set a date yet?

Not as far as I know. There's issues trying to be sorted out. They have the land, but there's been other things popping up here and there.

Can't wait to see you guys again- and not just when I'm lurking around the dealership aimlessly!

FYI:
We just changed flavours....we now have 1) chocolate chunk and 2) macadamia nut with white chocolate.

We'll keep baking those until we're done, and then we'll try something else. If anybody has any preferences, email me at j.guttman@oakvillemazda.com. That is anybody except Gary....:)
