... my favouritest webcomic put this up a couple of days ago. Feel free to delete if it's totally out of line.
Don't let this happen to your 3! Or maybe do it to other nasty cars so your 3 can have space (not that it needs much). Just in case anyone has ever seen those terrible parking jobs in the lot and wanted to do something about it:

I've seen that twice already. First time was an 08 Civic Si and the second time was a tricked out 00 Mustang. I hate seeing that. I really hate the ppl who illegally park in the handicap spots as well.

its cause people dont want to have other cheap shit cars such as 1988 civics park beside there brand new cars, its understandable if u ask me, best thing to do is just park in a corner so at least one side is coverd by a wall or something

Problem is most of the time (at least from what i've seen) its the 1988 civics parking like that....go figure haha If I had a crazy expensive car i'd be more worried about someone scratching my car for parking like that than someone dinging it by mistake lol

i've seen only one person do this @ a grocery store and that guy was lazy.. driving a beater. If I wasn't with my dad I would have filled the space around his car with shopping carts (but not actually touching his car)... more to inconvenience him.
I don't really see a valid excuse for parking like that.. if you don't want your car scratched park it somewhere far. Don't be selfish and take two spots!

Or Black Hat Guy will do some REAL mods to your car. *snerk*
There are mitigating circumstances, such as: you're driving your grandmother to dialysis and somebody already took the handicapped space so you park across two spaces to get her wheelchair out of the car. But really... vast majority of the time, it's some jerk parking across two prime spots right in front of the mall entrance or grocery store or movie theatre. Makes you really wanna grab some ketchup and do some temporary damage.

I try and park as far as I can from any doors to the mall or box store and when I do I still take one spot. 9.9 out of 10 times no one has parked near me when I return to my car, the walk is good excercise

When I had my '94 Probe GT I didn't really care about the paint or body cause it was scratched and dinged to hell anyway, so if I saw someone was parked on the line or over I'd purposely park my passenger side as close as I possibly could to their car without hitting it. If they can park like that I should be able to, too.
Now that I have my MS3 I just park away from the front and right under a light if possible when at night.
Also, to people who think they are "just cars", when I am done paying off my loan I will have paid just over $47,000 in total minus mods for my MS3. This is all I have to show so far for my day after day of hard work. So while to some people they are "just cars" to me my MS3 is my pride and joy, my hobby, and my trophy. Don't rag on people because they are picky on where they park their cars worth multiple thousands of dollars.

I park far when I can. Now that my workplace's parking lot has opened up like crazy, I do take up 2 spots LOL. But..honestly, NOBODY parks in this section (since the parking lot is empty now, this section is more or less, out of the way and farther to the destination) so I'm not bothering anyone. Not that I have to take up 2 spots..noone would park next to me anyway.
In populated areas though, i hate people who take up 2 spots. Inconsiderate.

to play a little bit of devils advocate here. sometimes the cars are like that because one or more cars were already like that. and everyone else had to park on an angle to fit then the "crooked" cars left and they're left looking like the bad guy. But I do agree it is annoying to have 2 spaces taken up by just one car. sometimes I feel like getting some yellow paper and issuing fake parking tickets just to get their heart rate up as they walk back to the cars!

I intend to print out this comic and leave it on the hood of the car as a warning... not that I'd ever actually blowtorch a car in half. And like I said, there are mitigating circumstances. I'd be more forgiving in winter, for example, because that situation that froggy mentioned with the one-crooked-car-makes-many-crooked-cars thing would happen more often.
alhope34, I don't agree that having a car that costs a lot allows you to be a jerk in the parking lot. If you really want to protect your car and park it across two spots, park at the far end of the lot where other people aren't hunting for spots.
Once again... mitigating circumstances: once a friend of mine couldn't close the door on the family minivan (seatbelt buckle was crumpled in the door or something), so he couldn't drive to work. Solution: he drove his restored Barracuda something-or-other that he and his late father had rebuilt by hand to work, because he had to be there. Once at work, he parked across two spots right in front of the store and watched it from the cashier's till until his shift was over. He never drives that car otherwise, except at shows.
So there are situations where it's okay, people will understand. But don't do it regularly just because your car is The Best Evar.

Ok, I did not mean when you think I meant. At all. Someone made a comment suggesting why worry so much where you park because afterall, they are just cars. I explained why I'll always park at the back where there are less likely parents to park with their big asses hanging out the car doors smashing the doors of their car into my car as they get their squirmy kids out of car seats. I in no way, shape, or form park like a cock so don't ever think that or associate me with that. If you actually read all of my post you'll see where I said that I infact do park at the back of lots.

Sorry. It was my understanding that you were saying "I don't park like a jerk, but it's justified to do so for people whose cars cost a lot."

I like this idea. LOL! I'd just keep a stack of them. Maybe I'd even print them on yellow paper just to get the added effect of looking like a parking ticket.

Damn! What interest rate did you get?
I mean... even at full retail, the car was around $36k out the door, right? And you're paying another $11k to finance it??

PARKING WARS hahahahhaa yes, but usually it's just people who can't park in general like seniors or people who don't realize the parking lines, or can't park straight, or teens thinking they are cool. But for some of us do tend to park farther back just to ensure no carts/doors/lack of consideration from fellow drivers ( All depends on the driver/weather lol). I also agree with where you are also plays a key factor. Parking at a mall verses parking at a Wal-Mart . You'd probably have a higher rate for damage at Wal-Mart (nothing to due with social classes of citizens) just personal experience. My personal favourite is seeing teenagers parking in family parking spots or expecting mothers... what tools.
And yes I'll admit I too have parked in two spaces to ensure no scratches back in the day and got fined for illegally parked at College. BIG GULPS EH

Just print these out and stick it on their cars. Remember to check off which one applies :)
