I drove straight home to claybar and wax it lol. On the last road back to my house I pretended I was driving a slalom so I could shake my head at the stock 15" tires squirming as I turned :)

It was the first new car that I had purchased myself (previous ones were either with my parents, or used in the case of my Protege5) so I was extremely happy.

Straight to my gf's (now fiancee). Took her for a drive. Me? I felt ok, maybe a bit hungry; sad because I missed my P5; confused by the changed interior! The car? It felt like it floated more than my P5 and definitely broke loose much easier.

I did not know stick... so I drove home. Stalled three times in a row at the last street light before home.

I felt like crying.

i bought my 3 in winter and got winters installed in place of the all seasons, this was the first car I bought on my own and the first car that I had ever put winters on so I decided to see if the winters would really make a difference. I found a nice snowy empty parking lot and tried turns, starts and emergency braking. realized that yes snows made a huge difference and drove it home. How I felt I felt great finally getting back into a 4 banger 5 speed.

what does clay bar do?

Gets rid of sticky contaminants and oxidants on the paint. Mine was a 2007, bought in Aug '07 so it had been sitting on a lot for a while; plus they all tend to get some rail dust from transport on the trains, so I wanted to get everything off before waxing.

Figured I'd spoil myself at the time and went to buy Rock Band. Then realized I forgot my 407 transponder in my old car (that was at my sisters) so I went there to show it off (taking as many back roads as I could). Then drove home and snapped a couple of pictures.

What?

Nobody made out in their car with their significant other?

Does this mean that you and Alex went on a "cruise" when you first got your 3? :chuckle

I could see that :)

As for me: took the beautiful baby out to St. Catharines to get back for school the next day

Drove home on the 403/QEW from Sauga to Hamilton. Then took pics. Then drove around my neighbourhood practicing manual transmission. I bought the car without even knowing how to drive manual LOL

I learned the night before on my brothers RSX and it was just the basic enough to get the car rolling. Fak I was so scared on the highway

I hope you guys were gentle with her... when I read that, all I could hear was gears grinding....not that i'm criticizing your driving or anything, i'm no expert, its just part of the learning curve. I learned on a 1985 toyota corolla, clutch was stiffer than day old pizza.

I learned manual on an 04 STi, 430whp.

Anyway, when I first got my car I think I went to about 3 or 4 different friends' houses to show it off, then went home to sleep cause I had to work the next day at 7am.
