Ami,
How did u and Alex (Broli) manage to navigate through Europe without knowing how to speak the native languages? Italy and now Spain! How u guys manage without getting lost?
Just wondering, are you guys using a tour operator?

No tour operator. Most of the time in the major cities we were on foot. We would get a city map from the hotel we were at, and it was easy enough to find our way. If you got lost, there were enough people around that spoke enough English to help out.
While we were driving, we used a combination of MS Autoroute, and a GPS. If you want more info, just pm me.

It's easier than you think. Most people speak enough english to understand what you're asking. I went to Europe for a month, just me and my best friend and never really had any problems. You eventually begin to pick up some of their language.. please, thank you, no, yes, simple questions. It's pretty awesome. Ahhhh Europe is just amazing.
I find that those tour operators are very expensive. Do some research and explore the country on your own. You'll experience more and feel more independent anyways.

Absolutely agree! Even a day trip tour to Pisa, the local tour price was €43 per person. I asked the front desk at the hotel we we at, he said don't waste your money, walk to the train station, spend €5.60 for the train, and walk around yourself. That advice saves us a lot of money.
