It has become rather persistent as of the past week. What is the best way to stop the rattle, it is rather annoying. Makes the car sound like a 20 year old Cavalier or something.

Remove the shelf and add some dampening material. You need to be careful though as you may have airbags in the rear pillars. I wouldn't suggest you do this yourself.

There are holes through the metal underside, accessible from the trunk. Try cramming pieces of foam weather stripping or pieces of kitchen sponge through the holes so they are between the plastic cover and the metal. Use a piece of coat hanger or something like to jam them in. (Watch for for sharp edges on the metal!)

Okay. Will give it a try :)

Also, if this doesnt work, I will ask my neighbour to help with removing the shelf.

Thanks Guys :)
