I've searched around with no luck. Anyone know how to replace the OEM HID bulb? Any walk through?
I just purchased a Prolumen Kit for the fogs @ 6000k and got two bulbs for the low beams at 6000k.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
there is a walkthrough on how to replace the low beams on the OEM HID's at mazda3 forums:

as far as the fogs, they should be plug and play. you just need to decide where you want to put the ballasts. to do it proper, remove the bumper and tuck them away.
another way is just to do it without removing the bumper and just the bottom plastic piece held on by a few screws. be careful when you remove and replace the bulbs so as not to touch them or break them.
bumper removal is easy, search on here and there should be a good walkthrough. some screws off, a push and it's off.

Since you have a 2009 GT, The low beam prolumen bulbs will not work (if i am correct) The low beam in your car would be a D2S bulb since you have stock HIDS in the lo..
You would need D2S bulbs at 6000k for the lo beam replacement
am i right?
you're right
i assumed he bought D2S bulbs for lows cause he said "...and got two bulbs for the low beams at 6000k." and made no mention of a second kit.

Yes, thank you for the help fini! I did get two D2S bulbs, except they are labelled D2C (the vendor told me the C is universal for the D2S and D2R and would fit the D2S.)
The kit I got for the fogs are Porlumen 35W @ 6000k bulb size 9006
I'm a bit skeptical on the bulbs for the Low's since they were only 70 bucks for both. He offered me a 1 year warranty. I got them from Pacific Mall.
I hope I didn't buy shit. :(

The brand name of the bulb is Super Vision HID (Xenon Super Vision HID Head Lamp)
let me know how good the bulbs are after a few months usage. would be much appreciated.
i was considering changing out my bulbs too but it was a bit too pricey for me.

Will do, I will keep a subscription to this thread to remind me. I tried doing some research but dont see any negative or postive ratings on these bulbs.

Correct the D2C's are "universal" and can see by the hole cutouts at the plastic base.

I picked up the same set of 6000K's for my 09 GT and they look very nice! Mine's only 6 month warranty though :(
