Sound from shift lever

Does anyone else out there hear a clicking sound from their automatic gear shift lever when depressing the brake pedal when in the "Park" position? The sound is slight, but wondering if this is normal.

Try shifting from Park without pressing the brake pedal.... you will discover what clicks when you do press it! :)

The sound is the safety interlock solenoid disengaging. The lock prevents you from shifting out of park without the brake being pressed. It's normal.
