Going to the game tonight, should be one of the biggest games of the year. The Star is already calling it Opening Night part II and going as far as saying 'Game of the Year'.
Oh baby looking forward to tonights match-up ... Blue Jays high powered offence with Doc Halladay on the mound v. the big bad AJ Burnett, A-Rod and the Evil Empire that is the New York Yankees. We gonna get it on becasue we dont get along! Go Jays Go!!!

Are we still leading the league in hits? I'm also following my St. Louis Cardinals.

Yes sir, leading the league in pretty much all offensive categories including in terms of avgerage with runners in scoring position, including scoring runs with 2 outs!!!
Last time the Blue Jays were in first place and played the Yankees was back on September 24, 1993! And the Yankees were at the time 5.5GB from first place as they are today.

I'm a fan! Watch every game I can.
Wish I was going. Hoping to catch a couple games this year now that I'll have a car. Last year I went to the August 23rd game where they walloped Lester 11-0.
People are waiting for this team to crash... but while some of the players are playing over their head, the team as a whole is playing exactly as they did last season under Gaston.
And FLIPDADY, they lead in Runs, Hits, RBIs, Total Bases and Average.

That's the game. With the way Halladay is pitching, I don't see them coming back.

What a game that was boys! AJ Burnett got served! Did you guys see when A-Roids fouled off a Doc Halladay pitch into the stands behind the Yankee dugout, some fan threw the ball back onto the field of play, that was awesome!!!
Seeing the Dome filled brought back memories of my childhood going to the Dome with my parents. Nothing beats a packed house at the Dome!

These Blue Jays are playing like never before. Since Cito Gaston took over this team in June of 08, the Blue Jays are 73-49 in 122 games, making them the best team in Baseball since then.

Start of the season won't matter when playoff rolls around and you're out of the picture..
get a good start and stay consistently decent and you'd head for the playoffs.

Yah, but these victories are big confidence boosts to help through the season. The team is something like 79 - 43 since Cito took over last season. That's a pace for over 100 wins. I don't see them being that good but this team has new life under Cito.
