I brought my 2007 for the 48000 service (at 44300 km, because I just bought the car second hand)

in addition to the normal things, they said

#1 manual transmission oil is dark, to change it for roughly 120$ + tx
#2 injectors - there is carbon build-up. service for this about 140+tx
#3 coolant flush. they said the coolant is -24 instead of -39, whatever that is
#4 air filter to be replaced, 50$ + tx

questions:
#1 is this plausible or is it a common tactic? is it worth doing it for the price or should I just buy synthetic oil and do it myself?

#2 injectors: is this normal?

#3 is the part that pisses me off because the dealer from where I bought the car supposedly did a coolant flush before giving me the car.
is this something I need to worry about, is it something I can do myself (completely flush system. fill it and bleed it)

other than that, they are replacing a tensioner under warranty and also turning the front discs under warranty (I had vibration while braking) but I have to pay for new pads (front were worn).

1. I'm surprised they suggested replacing your trans fluid already on a manual. I could see replacing it on an auto but you should still be good for a while longer with a manual. If it's burnt then you should change it but they may tell you it's burnt even if it's not just to have you pay for it.

2. Injectors can become clogged with carbon build up over time, highly unlikely at 48k though. If you have been doing highway driving this will usually cut down on the amount of build up. I wouldn't do this till at least 96k+ personally. But that's just me.

3. Coolant does need to be changed but again, it seems a little early. I wouldn't replace it till twice that mileage. That's just me though.

4. Change the air filter yourself (that is if you can). Such a waste of money to have them do it.

Maintenance Schedule just for reference.

I think they're trying to upsell you on extra service. They can recommend it but you are not required to follow it. Check the owners manual for REQUIRED SERVICE>

According to the owners manual the coolant should be replaced at 96K or 48 months.
Manual Transmission fluid to be replaced at 48K is way to early in my opinion.

I will change the filter myself, it costs 14 bucks or so at napa.

for the transmission fluid: I have no problems with the car, but how can I check myself if the fluid is bad? if I drain a bit, then I'll need to replace what I drained. might as well change it myself.

for the coolant: the fluid is bright green and clear. I will check the coolant with one of those hand-held testers they sell at canadian tire. the place I bought the car was supposed to have done a coolant flush, but I have no idea what they did exactly (didn't ask them for it, it is written on the inspection sheet they gave me).
I'm only afraid about freezing, in montreal it gets cold in winter :)

for the injectors: the guy said it's not urgent, but this affects gas usage. I found my gas usage to be pretty good, about 8.3 L/100 for a mix of city and highway traffic.

so I changed my filter myself and I also bought one of those prestone coolant testers (the plastic thingie that sucks coolant into it and shows you with an arrow the strength of the coolant)

how good are these testers?

the coolant was more towards light green than dark green and it was clear. the tester was pointing to somewhere above -40 celsius. so according to this tester my coolant is good... I'll try it on some other cars to double check.
