I tried to search for a thread with no luck. Most of them seem to be about HIDS - which I don't have!! Please dont throw rocks or rotten vegetables at me.

Anyways, it seems as if my left headlight wire is faulty. If I mess around with the wiring and the bulb/headlight unit it either goes out, or goes brighter to match the other side. I can usually get it to a point where it's as bright as the right side, but after a day or two it looks dull like the colour has faded. I really don't know how else to explain it....... It also smells like burning sometimes - only a faint smell... which is prooooobably not a good thing....

I'm not sure if it's the wiring, the bulb itself not being angled proplerly, or if it's even sitting in the unit correctly (FML)... or something else. I'm retardo when it comes to electrical stuff.

Anyone have suggestions on how to fix or what might be the problem.

i say your car needs a HID upgrade..

probably a loose connection or damaged wires

Really sounds like the wiring needs to be carefully examined... starting with the socket and working back to the fuse box...

I think I'm going to have to... it wasn't even working this morning on my drive into work. ARGH.

Im thinking it may have to be earlier than that. I tried to jiggle it just now on my break, and still nada.. I think it's hit the bucket this time. FML. I don't wanna drive at night with a burned out light either.

OK update. I got home and popped the hood and took out my bulb. Look what I find!! I completely corroded, melted jumble of a mess that is now my socket. F!!!! Anyways, I guess that's what I get for buying really crappy replacements bulbs. Put my stock bulbs back in and they work like a charm (but not as pretty.. le sigh) The wires are completely fine.

p.s don't mind the chipped nail polish.. hahaha those lights are in a tiny area!!!
