ok, so today ***sad ;(*** I scraped my new 2010 car on a curb.
Story:
I went to work today and parked in one of my careful spots. usually away from others or with one side of my car to some curb so only 1 person can park beside me. After I parked I decided to move my car to another spot because I thought the lawn guys were comming and I would end up with dried grass on my car.... that is when it happend , I was to close to the curb and as I turned out of the spot I heard a loud scraping sound.... omy my heart sank into my stomach. once I got to my other spot , I slowly walked to the passanger side where I heard the scraping sound. I looked and I looked and saw no scrap "?". then I looked under the car an saw I had just scraped a piece about 5 inched long on a metal piece of the car. I knew no one would see it but I knew It need to be fixed because it was now bare metal.

I called gyro mazda and spoke with them. they said bring your car in (no appointment needed.) They looked at it and said it was minor and nothing else was wrong except for the scrape. They took it in as soon as I got there . The first gentlman looked at it and said he would get the service manger to look at it. the service manager looked at it and said he would paint it. Within 5 minutes of having my car in the shop the car was back to normal... just a gram lighter (due to metal loss...lol)

Derrick the serice manger gave back my keys and said your done. I said I should go and pay for this. He just shook his head and said that it was fine. I was completly surprized and greatful for how curtious and fast these guys are. I proceed to shake Derricks hand and said thank you.

Story 2

When I went to pick up my new car there was a paint issue on the passanger side door. It was under the clear coat. it looked like a rag had touched the door while the paint was drying or something. It was not horrendous but visible enough. the dealership (Gyro Mazda )right away said they would get me another car. No questions asked. So I walked away without my "Roamer". it also had a small scratch near the roof as well as a little paint gouge on the hood near the rim

Gyro mazda had my new car for me by the next week. The sales rep Paul worked hard to get me another car becasue they didn't have my style of car on the lot. he secured it from a new shippment comming in.

So far my experience with Gyro mazda has been nothing outstanding.

Kudos to Gyro.... keep up the good work!!!!

Good to hear and thanks for the review. Things must have changed at Gyro as 7 or 8 years ago, they were not the most reputable, nor professional dealership to deal with when it came to service.

I wanted to give this review becasue you always hear about the bad stuff going on with dealership and rarely the good.

From my experience they are top notch. Mike one of the salesman is outstanding as well. I purchased my car from Paul.. he is a great sales man as well, he dealt with me the way I wanted to be dealt with... His deal was by far the best price wise. I told him what I wanted to pay and that is exaclty what I paid. Just in case they read this forum

Thank You Paul and Mike and Derrick your great guys....

I was just reading your post about your lil "heart sinking" episode. Sorry it happened but glad it was resolved to your satisfaction. Also glad to hear a positive review about Gyro. Not too many of those :)

I had a few questions I was wondering if you could answer:

1) how are you enjoying your 2010?
2) how's the fuel economy on it?
3) how good of a deal did you get at Gyro if you don't mind me asking on the road? No need to answer if you don't want. I am just curious as I am considering selling my vehicle and jumping on the 2010 wagon.

Thanks again!

I love everything about it inside and out. I'm obsessed (sp) about it lol)

fuel on country drives is about 8.3l/100km
going to work and erands 8.9-10/100 km. depending how I drive. If I drive spirited than it is closer to 9.5-10

the deal was good at gyro... basically use car cost canada to get the dealer invoice and add profit onto that .. What ever you are willing to pay over dealer invoice. They usually say 3-6% over dealer invoice. as for option they make about 20% so use ur judgement
