love it!!! the best adrenaline rush you could get, on par with base jumping. much more exciting than skydiving as you can actually see the ground fast approaching.
a couple tips:
-don't close your eyes or it will defeat the entire purpose of the jump
-don't jump wearing a skirt (which you probably didn't plan on doing anyways, but just in case)

bottomless bungee jumping?
not warm enough yet...windchill combined with the nervous factor will make for massive shrinkage...
oh...you talking about girls?!...definitely go skirtless...

Honestly I don't think it can get any smaller.
SHUT UP ALL OF YOU!
A friend of mine went bungee jumping and dislocated his shoulder in the process. He said the jolt at the bottom was more than he was expecting. He did have a previous injury though.

shoulder?! was he strapped in a back harness??? i never tried that, but with the ankle strap i never felt any pull at all, nevermind a jolt...
i never jumped in canada, did in a few places in europe tho.

Ya he had what looked like a shoulder harness. The bungee chord attached to a spot in the upper back. His wife just laughed at him.

For anyone scared out of their minds, start at wonderland!!!! Wow what a rush that was!!!!! Feels like your face is about to be smashed in.... but it's a smooth jolt at the end and then you get to just fly for a while!

I've jumped once in Whistler. First jump is $120 but that includes a 'lifetime' membership. From that point onwards, jumps are $60. It's a 150' drop off a bridge over a scenic river. If the cord snaps, at least you get a pleasant view...
But it's a thrilling experience not meant for everyone. Just don't think too much about it when you're on the perch.
I was fitted with a torso harness - the cord was attached to my front mid-torso and you jump with your back facing downwards. I also had the choice of having the cord attached to my back or an ankle harness.
Perform your own risk analysis - if you have a wife, three kids, mortgage, car payments and all the other expenses in between, maybe you'll want to pass. :)

well, if you've got insurance...
I'd be careful about said wife, esp if SHE got a insurance policy for you AND booked the bungee trip...

I dove of a crane in Ottawa a few years ago, forgot how high it was! The fall wasn't bad but when you are dunked 5 feet into the water, the pull with brute force half way back up is the ride!

Wilderness Tours on the Ottawa river is the only place in Ontario that still does bungee jumping....and its awesome. I've done it 3 times so far to cap off a weekend of white water rafting. Their crane is permanently anchored on the waterfront and you can choose to get dunked into the water and the bottom of your drop...its awesome!
