Okay here is the deal,
Crap towne, I mean westowne had done some type of intake manifold recall on my 2005 Mazda3 GT w/ auto transmission....
Bone stock......NO MODS under the hood..
so after a long and I mean long wait...for something i found to be so simple..
none the less, two months later, I experience
the car on cold start ups, put the biatch in gear and the car stalls....
then turns on
or stalls twice then turns back on....
luckly it happens for a short second such as when I am backing out of the driveway or leaving a parking spot
sucks cause it can dangerous cause the car turns off and I am steering, well the steering wheel gets stuck...
so anyone ever have this problem?
I am hesitant to take to back Westowne, seeing that the whole service department plus the some of the techs are a bunch of idiots....

Not to sound like a douche, but 2 months AFTER service would not make me point my finger at the dealer.
This could likely be something COMPLETELY unrelated. Not saying it is, but you may want to let up on blaming and pointing fingers... especially considering it was 2 months since they serviced your vehicle.
The intake manifold replacement is not a 10 minute job. So you saying so "after a long and I mean long wait...for something i found to be so simple.." leads me to believe you might have a biased opinion of dealerships/techs.

Op, are you saying that on cold start the actually starts, then stalls as is completely stops running? Also, when you say starts the stops, what exactly happens? Does the engine completely shut off? Is your electrical stuff still on? Dash, radio, etc? And then when you say starts again, does the car start up again after being completely shutting off?
I'm curious about this one. Check the vcts removal guide on m3f. Take note of the connections and hoses unhooked in the process of removing the intake manny. Check those same hoses and connections on your car.
Also check the maf and maf harness to see if there is anything loose. To check the maf start your car; while its idling, gentley move the wires where they enter the maf harness. There should be no change in rpm if everything is irie.
If you're lucky sas will stumble across this thread. (No pressure sas!).
Good luck; let us know how it goes.
