This is a good news - bad news story.
Bad news is I had a flat tire today. I parked the car on my driveway yesterday afternoon and noticed the flat tire today. There was no air in the tire at all.
Good news is I think the flat tire was caused by Tire Pressure Caps I bought from Canadian Tire for $5. Initially, I was impressed with the simplicity and low cost of these tire valve caps. As I couldn't find any obvious defect in the flat tire, I asked the CAA guy to fill it with air. Then I put the tire cap and noticed that air was escaping when I tightened the cap pass a certain point. So, I got the CAA guy to remove the replacement tire and put the flat tire, now filled with air, back. I hope the tire cap is the cause of the flat tire. My tires are about a month old and they had Tire Pressure Caps all along. It is a mystery to me why I had a flat tire today. Kids swear they didn't touch the caps.
