I have some friends coming to visit from overseas and they want to hit Montreal and Quebec City for a couple days each. I haven't been there in years. Any suggestions as to what we should see and do?

I don't think our wives (who will be with us) would be too enthusiastic about either strip joints or bungee jumping, but thanks for the suggestions!

But don't expect a classy restaurant. It's old and dirty inside.

Man, I always make it a point to go there and buy like 25 sandwhiches for my family, and pack some to bring home.

Always end up eating like 4 of them on the drive home... :bana2

check out some live Jazz in Montreal if you can.

Quebec City is nice, checkout some small restraunts outside the old city (less touristy) The old city itself is pretty amazing (and romantic for the wives) great history, beautifully preserved.

I was just in Montreal/Quebec City this Easter long weekend.

Smoked Meat sandwich is a MUST :bana2

Schwartz is really REALLY REALLY good...Had to wait in line for 30 mins for that place...

POUTINES!!!! OMG!!!! they have some really good poutine places as well...la belle province has pretty good ones...and they are all over the place.

Casino ok, nothing to crazy about it...same old as Toronto...

Night life/Bar life = GREAT!

Try to live close to Downtown Montreal....(I stayed in Old Montreal...Nothing too special about it... beside the price of parking your car (25 dollars a day + Tax) and the cost of hotel (Around $800)

The new cirque du soleil should be in town OVO, if your a fan of that stuff...It is usually VERY GOOD (Can't wait for them to get to Toronto)

Day Trip - Quebec City...JUST A LOT OF WALKING!!!! and sightseeing... I personally found it kinda of boring... (Well I'm 23, so not really into that stuff :P)

and the Ladies there are :bana2:bana2:bana2:bana2

Too bad your going with your wives :P hahah!

Montreal is the best city in Canada for Night life. Clubbing, Bar, Party....and there is less or almost no shooting like in GTA.

Too bad F1 doesn't come to Montreal this year, otherwise it will be even better. Usually they close some section in downtown and putting all the cars (Ferrari day, Porsche day, BMW day) on St-Catherine, Crescent, etc...

There is also La Ronde (like Wonderland) at Luns Island and Casino de Montreal is just 2 minutes away. If you have time, you can go to Mont Tremblant as well, very nice place (they do ski in winter, but there is many other things to do in summer as well)

Quebec City is nothing extraordinary unless you want to see the historic buildings and stuff.

Beware of the traffic when you pass Quebec boarder from 401.....they are doing construction (QC's road construction never ends), they merge the east and west direction together in 1 lane each, expect some delay there after you enter QC boarder. Also hwy 720 near downtown is in construction too, cut 4 lanes to 2. Avoid that in rush hour.

*Also, you speeding ticket do count in Ontario record. Drive safe. :)

I will go back in July as well, been in Montreal for 15 years.

^ Super Sex is famous, it locate just in face of the Eaton Center on St-Catherine, but not the best. ^_<

Forgot to mention, strip club in MTL is cheaper than GTA. I didn't go THAT often to provide you a feedback, lol, but I heard fun stories in those at LAval and St-Jerome. lol
