A good real estate agent should be able to educate you and inform you of all the cost associated with purchasing. Also a mortgage professional, like myself, can educate you and inform you of all the costs associated with such a purchase and the costs involved in refinancing.
When the paper work gets down to the lawyer's office, each client should know what the costs should be prior to meeting with the lawyer, otherwise you are ill-informed.
