My Auto tranny is acting sluggish and jerking at some shifts.

I'm at 87000km now and had an ATX fluid replacement at 67000km for $81 at the dealer. I assume they just performed a drain & top up and not a full flush.

Now only 20000km later my tranny is acting funny and upon checking the fluid it is brown coloured and smells somewhat metallic.

Do you think I need a full fluid flush at this point?

All help is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm curious, how does it smell "metallic"? :chuckle
If it smells "burnt", then I'd change it. If you want it done right, it will cost a couple hundred $$. When they drain and fill, they only remove about 1/3 of the oil. The rest is trapped in the tranny, cooler and torque converter. A "power flush" is the way to go, where they pump new fluid in until old no longer comes out.
Also check to see if your tranny ecu needs a flash update.
