I just saw a black utility van(GMC safari type) with red and black flasher. Even had a roof rack with ladders on top. On Confederation just south of Hillcrest.

YEAH!!! I saw that same van on Cawthra a few weeks back. I was in disbelief when I got closer and saw a cop with a radar gun. Crazy!!

they are becoming more slick by the second..i'm keeping my eyes peeled for more suspicious vehicles

They have a white one w/ a ladder on the driver's side also. Saw it a couple times on the 403W coming up to the Hurontario exit pulling over people illegally using the HOV lane.

I'm guessing the ladder is the new camoflauge technique to make it blend in to the environment. No one will suspect a van with a ladder to be a law enforcement vehicle.

Sneaky but effective.

Call it what you want.... but that's pretty smart on their end. I'm sure that someone who is about to break one of the laws (speeding, illegal turn, running a stop sign/ light, etc.) wouldn't think anything of a van with a ladder on it. You would think it's just some contractor of some sort. Smart and simple................. :flaming

That vehicle is actually not specifically for traffic enforcement, but they could pull you over. It belongs to SWAT/TAC of Peel Police.

Mind you I live at Hillcrest/Confederation, but I got pulled over by that SUV about 2 weeks ago on Lakeshore West past Cawthra.

He pulled me over for doing 80 in a 50 and for cut him off :P.

Luckily I was able to talk my self out of it :).

That's OPP though, when you pass the Hurontario/QEW area and have a glance at the OPP Detachment and you'll see all their vehicles.

The OPP one is a Chevy Tahoe.

i guess there's no other crime in our utopian city/province. no shootings, abductions, assaults.... let's spend our tax dollars on those super-villainous speeders. :loco

I saw a jeep (Chevy Tahoe?) with police lights pulled over some guy at Finch and Don Mills last night around 12 am.
