I'm not a gamer and I'm only a mediocre Star Wars fan...but this shite is pretty damn good. Click on HD and make it full screen.

cool! i can never keep track of what happens when in the star wars timeline (though there is a really cool recent "wired" article that has a detailed timeline of all the movies, games, novels, comics etc.)

Too bad it's a MMORPG and not a standalone :( The video is fantastic, probably one of the most visually stunning games shown at E3 this year.

That looks badass. Why couldn't they make the actual movies like that, instead of the BS that Lucas put out.

BTW...anyone know the story behind the game? I thought there could only be 2 sith lords?

Yes.. Possibly apprentices, or better yet clones?

This trailer is definitely drool worthy.....As Boogie mentioned earlier, this is what Lucas should have released! Not that jarjar binks garbage that pandered to children.

I have played both SW: KOTOR... The first one was the shit... it was so good, storyline, game play, it was just a great game overall. KOTOR II wasn't as good...

Bioware makes some pretty awesome games, I expect this one to be good as well, can't wait to play it.

George Lucas has never made movies from games, don't see it happening. Considering he originally had scripts for 9 movies and has only done 6... don't think he's gonna do the other 3

I need to find this article... though I think i have a pretty good idea of the timeline... ahaha

You are correct, there can only be 2 sith lords, the Master and the Apprentice. If I am correct, this is set just before Knights of the Old Republic. I believe the 2 in here are going to be Malak and Revan. The rest are not apprentices but rather Dark Jedis. They are either former Jedis that turned from the order and joined the sith or trained right out of the Academy on Korriban by sith teachers, but never actually instructed by the Sith Lords.

Edit: I think I just got my nerd on for the day...

That's an awesome trailer... An ex of mine actually got me hooked on SWs. BTW I read the 'FAQ' and this game is set 300 years after KOTOR while Raven is out in space looking for whatever...

Ah... shit... LMAO...

The sith in the trailer definitely looks like Malak... but I guess it wasn't him.

There can actually be many Sith lords in the Old Republic Time Line. Later on a Sith lord named Darth Bane establishes the "rule of two" regarding the sith. Apparently he believed that the Sith would always end up fighting each other so he killed all the others lords and then took an Apprentice. Since the there has only been two, One Master and One Student.

Now thats getting your nerd on

But even in the old republic games... there were still only 2 sith lords... the rest were known as dark Jedis

I'm just going by what happens in the novels. before Darth Bane there were many Sith Lords, After Bane only 2.

Keep in mind that the Old Republic was thousands of years old. So the games timeline could be towards the latter part. i haven't played the games so I don't know. Also it wouldn't be the first time storylines were "adjusted" to appeal to or not confuse a wider audience.
