My car is making a scratching noise, like if I would press my breaks and they make a scatching noise. I can hear it more from the passenger side. It doesnt happen all the time but it's annoying and it doesn't sound to good. Any idea what it could be. Thanks

If its making a "scratching" metal-on-metal noise, ONLY when you press on the brakes, your brake pads are likely worn out. When they get too low there is a metal piece which contacts the brake rotors to make that noise and provide audible warning that your pads are toast.

Well I guess it could still be the pads, as they are in constant contact with the rotor. I still think its the pads, especially if it gets louder when you brake.

Another cause could be a wheel bearing but that is usually a light grinding or "roaring" noise which gets louder the faster you go. Either way, take it to the dealership.

Yup. It was the pads, took it to the shop and they replaced them. It's all good now. Thanks for your help.
