I have 09 hatch and ive only had it for just over 2 months and for a while now ive been noticing and minor rumble while the car is idling. Feels kind of like the car is going to stall but it is an auto so obviously that cant be. Ive brought it to mazda twice now and they have told me twice they cant feel it. Im getting frustrated as my friends 09 mazda does not do this! Any one have any ideas of what the problem could be?

haha you know what, I've noticed this in my 05... This might sound weird... but mine's pretty light and it doesn't happen all the time... but when I do notice it, like if I'm stopped at a stop light, I find if I release the brake a little and move up an inch, it magically disappears! (no seriously! lol) Makes me think the brakes are picking up the rumble/vibration I dunno.

hahah anyway if yours is pretty bad then maybe try to pin point exactly when it happens and offer to show the dealer yourself?

Happens in my 2007 hatch too. I was told at the dealer it had something to do with the purge valve, which they replaced, but I still have this issue. Decided just to let it go for now...

+1 happens in my 2008.5 as well.. you really have to concentrate to hear it.. and be in a quiet environment., or it gets washed out..

just learned to live with it
