get the new omnia it's better but requires a PDA plan for data... I got my instinct on release date, they can take a beating, left it outside for 3 hours in the snow and dropped it in 8" of water.. still works not bad for a samsung.

If its a fairly new and popular model you maybe able to get parts from www.cnn.cn they ship real fast. and fixing a cell phone is a piece of cake.. might be more worth while fixing rather than getting a new one..

Unfortunately Ry, this IS related to his sponsorship as he was supposed to fix my xbox, yet he didn't do a thing to it yet took my money and let me leave unsatisfied.

I wish it was just about a slow response as I can deal with that, it's the continual BS I have been fed about how unable he is to accommodate any kind of schedule to meet up. Every time it's just another excuse.

I would never lend him any money. I would only lend money to good friends as I have been burned before, just like you said you have (just not by an ex's father lol).

I paid for my xbox to be fixed. I met with him out in Mississauga, he gave me back the xbox and I gave him the money. He said everything was working. Got home and not even 5 minutes into playing it, the thing locked up. It did EXACTLY what I had taken it to him for. Dante told me how he had tested it by playing it for HOURS at a time, yet I couldn't played it for more than 5 minutes. There's no way ANYONE could have played it for hours or even 10 minutes without knowing there was a problem.

I asked for him to service it again and if he couldn't fix it then to give me my money back. He said no problem and I was happy with this has he replied to me right away. Unfortunately this was over 2.5 months ago. He originally said he would come and pick it up, then didn't show one Sat and claimed he said he "might" come by, not that he would...WTF? Then after multiple chances for us to meet somewhere was not working, I offered to go to him then he wouldn't have to worry about forgetting to meet me or having something come up. Well, here we are and the excuses are still coming.

Dante may know what he is doing with game systems but he is not a good business person. He should have just told me he couldn't fix it and I would have been on my way, but he didn't. If he keeps scamming people out of their money eventually it's going to come back and bite him in the ass by someone else.

I wasn't going to say anything, but I've gone through this thread and feel that I should express my dissatisfaction too. Went out of my way to setup an appointment with Dante a few months ago. Long story short, Dante never showed up to the appointment, never bothered to call, never replied to my PMs or emails. Forget about the business, it's common courtesy. It's quite an annoyance when I could have booked a client who would have actually shown up, rather than someone who can't even call to let me know he's not coming. I want to clear several things up here that this thread has flung into, How my cellphone ends up on my driveway? It must have fallen? Ive got one of those rubber type of cases when they fall they hardly make noise, not noticing I went over it and that was that..

Ryan's case is not like im unintentionally not paying but everything has been such a pain in the ass ever since, I repaired his console after reported freeze ups and red rings of death, When I got the system I had no red rings but I continued to bake the board and reseat the CPU with new thermal paste, baking would of helped any solders that are broken from a bad connection.. What could of happened is the board returned back to its warped state after cooling from so much benchmarking, I do make video's of systems working before I send them off, however this wouldn't be really defending me as It doesnt show more then 1 minute of game play. I have always done such a good job in fixing consoles but I left because of a miscommunication with the admin of TM3. I tried to contact and make dates with Ryan but the days I could be available he was extremely busy and the days he was available, I was busy. It just wasn't working, This issue wasnt purposely pushed 2.5months it's just honestly did not have it on my mind.

It's very difficult to commit to a date I can go ahead and do something now because of the way my work schedule is. Lack of communication is definitely my con but I would have never just left Ryan without his money. I do not know why I didn't think of it sooner but friday I send a interac money transfer to his account for immediate refund. I dont know why rian would say I never touched the system but I actually spent quite a lot of time on every system making sure things are properly done, in this case it backfired because as all 360's are, they are poorly designed.

Kaval I do apologize for making an appointment and not be able to show up but very difficult times headed my way and my car being spanking clean wasnt a priority as it was when I made the appointment. You do a fantastic job and i no way has to do with how you work..

The incident with my car being on fire : I was in a under ground parking lot in downtown brampton, I had just parked my car to put on my blacked out reflectors. I just parked and I saw the car smoking like it did the first time when my coolant seal blew .. well anyways, I look under the hood, black smoke everywhere, I let it all breathe out, I call FONZ who then brings along phil, and they of course arrive when everything has passed, I had assumed there was a fire because of the first time but they did indeed come to help me out, the car did end up being towed to the dealership and they did also help. No idea why ya had to bash that shitty night on me ?


Seriously, I had not ment for this to come to such an extreme point but I do understand that I could have made better accommodations and have had this done a lot quicker. I do apologize for anyone who think's im a bad person for this but this isnt the type of person I am, Life sucks and its very difficult but the new car was to get rid of the shit that I had dying in my driveway ( the 3) the motor was gone and that was somthing messed up since I got the car.

Being bashed is pretty harsh I must admit but its my fault for not explaining anything, The person who answered my cellphone was actually my GF's brother , I did get a replacment of the phone and ill make sure to watch what falls now.. In all honesty, I may know a lot of things technical but I thought checking your voicemail through a land line was somthing you had to pay for, I felt really stupid when I tried that out.

Thank you for finally replying here Dante. I think a lot of what has been said would have been prevented if you had of just posted up ANYTHING, but you didn't.

The problem about your story is that I never claimed the xbox had the RROD. I told you from the beginning that the video would freeze after about 5 minutes of play. Not once did I say it was related to the RROD or anything like that. Unfortunately it shows me that you didn't listen to what I wanted done. Now all the console does is play audio but doesn't have any video what so ever. Just a black screen. It may even be worse than when I took it to you. :(

I said that you may not have done anything to it because as soon as I got it home it didn't work. You claimed you tested it for hours at a time for a couple days without any problems. You can see why I would think this.

As for not meeting up. The ONLY days I couldn't meet you were the days I was on vacation and out of the province! If you call those days my incredibly busy schedule then yes I guess I was. It was always you not available on the weekends or any other day of the week. It grew into not being able to get in touch with you and finally that has at least changed.

Hopefully on Friday we can put this all behind us.

I then told you 4 red rings usually just means that your video cable isn't connected. Either that OR a bad video cable port or cable its self. Its generally not a error but more of a warning, Upon receiving the system I had diagnosed it, ran what ive described my last post and spoken to you about the freezing described. I said well, since this problem came back lets just meet up, ill see if i can fix the problem but refund you anyways for the inconvenience, you did give me dates but places all the way in T-Dot that are extremely difficult at the time since gas money was GOLDEN. I then later agreed from all of the difficulties in making dates as we were both really busy to just refund the money. Yes it was difficult to reach me as to you. If i had intended to scam in you in anyway why would I have called you to offer free parts from my part out? I wasnt in any way saying that it would of replaced any money I owe you back, i was just being nice and asked you.. I would of given you anything I had at the time which was a CAI , Exhaust and Tinted Tails. I honestly completely forgot we could of just transfered the money via banks otherwise this would of been settled such a long time ago! Now I can say that no one see's me as they used to on this site and I've got to most certainly move on. Ive seen people come here that were once good friends and show true colors. I ment absolutely no harm to anyone, which is why i wanted to make that part out as free as possible so that everyone could enjoy from what I had.

My offer still stands on repairing that console free but seeing as you dont trust me and how difficult it is to meet then who knows if thats possible. I'm most certain its your video chip now that your telling me you have no video but only sound. I never had once an issue that came back to me except this one and I would like to make ends meet regardless of the money.

I've most certainly have caused my self a spoiled name now and just want all of this fixed so that I may leave as "neutral" rather then hated.
