It's a common problem with the MazdaSpeed shifters, ...they go limp way too early :chuckle

A friend of mine has a Cobb STS in their MS3 and it sucks ass... Can never find first, it keeps popping into reverse because the lockout pin on the shaft is placed way too low and the spring on the shaft sags. Definitely not worth the money over the TWM.

I don't think it's a Cobb STS because even if the shaft is loose, it doesn't flop over like that...trust me, I know from experience.

that or the Hulk literally bent that shifter shaft or the...but I'd like to know which shifter it is.

In my friend's case, it is the Cobb that's messed up. With a better spring and better design this would not have happened to his shifter.

I understand...but referring to this picture...the more I look at it, the more it looks like it busted at the part where the shaft joins the metal ball that's at the bottom of the shifter shaft. Like if it broke anywhere else along the shaft (higher up) it wouldn't flop flat like that...

True. Could be any shifter. Even stock. No one has said for sure yet and I doubt the owner of said shifter is on this forum.
