You need to host your pictures on a third party site. You can not upload directly to TM3.

ahhhh why'd you do thatttt!!!!! lol
Is that really an issue?? It's kinda hard to accidentally slide it into M, no? Cuz it only goes so far until it hits the bottom, so you know when to stop... :whoa
hmmmm, well, good job anyway!

I am guessing this happened while you are driving with your hand on the shifter & turning at the same time?
It is more about fixing your driving habits, you are the first to report an issue about putting it into M-mode by accident.
Admittedly, I have so before as well, but it was my bad driving habit and not the car. As a result, I've fixed my habits.

What you are concerned about is whether or not you damaged your engine because you came close to redlining your car. Well the answer is no. You can do it once in a while. A car is ment for driving after all. As long as your engine is warmed up, you can push your a bit and shift before it hits redline. It only damages your engine if you redline it and keep it there for a period of time. (I've done it about 6 times if I can count correctly when I try to shift but miss a gear and my foot acts faster than my head so i gas it and I redline the thing. It is bad but if it is not held for long periods, it shouldn't do any damaged *knock on wood*). So make sure like Fuman said, if its your driving style, change it

I think it's impossible to damage your auto tranny... isn't there a safety built in so you don't screw up in tiptronic mode? In fact shouldn't it have shifted for you if you red lined it? Mine shifts for me sometimes if I'm not quick enough lol, but then again it shifted down for me that time so I'm not sure about going up...

if your revs are approaching too low, it'll downshift for you. Otherwise there won't be enough power to get you going again
If you do a youtube search, it took an RX-7 (OLDDD) 9 full minutes of bouncing off the rev limiter before the engine blew.
It is not not my driving habits. I was not paying attention when shifting gears to drive. Like I said it happened twice but I don't want to a take a chance.
Unlike a double clutch transmission, Mazda's M is just a gimmick.
Thank you for your constructive criticism.

I think this is a simple and elegant solution to the problem, especially if you don't use the "M" mode.

i redline my car almost daily. especially on the highway. redline first, second, and sometimes third. i've had ZERO problems in the 3 years of my ownership.
it wont harm the car. hell, i've even hit my rev limiter a few times. its there for a reason, to prevent an damage to the engine.

lollll u guys think too much.
he fixed something that HE wants to fix. :)
just say... GOOD JOB BUDDY and move on lol
i haven't yet redlined my car hahaha
M mode doesn't shift UP for you does it?
It only shifts down to 1 when I hit like 10km/h.
if you cant properly operate an automatic, well, that says alot.
It made me laugh, but I'm a noob too.

As much as it is funny, it was a creative way to fix the issue. I know I myself have accidentally pulled it into M while driving but only once or twice.
It's always better off safe than sorry. :)

no it doesn't shift on its own. it does downshift though when you step on the gas heavily to speed up

It does not. I was in my gfs car playing in the manual mode. After a bit i was talking to her at the lights and when i turned green I accelerated. Then hearing the engine really loud (thinking it was the truck beside me) but when i looked at the rpm i was sitting around 6k. I shifted and put it back in auto

I've used the manual shift in my auto. It will only downshift automatically, it will never shift up for you.

no it doesn't shift on its own. it does downshift though when you step on the gas heavily to speed up
It also may downshift for you in the following cases
1) if you brake and change into M mode at the same time (depends on your speed and amount of braking)
2) if you change it into M mode near the regular shifting point
(e.g. if you are in 5th, and going at 60km/h. If you go into M mode, it'll go to 4th)
