I've been hearing good things about this phone. It's compact and seems to have a lot of good features. I think I'm going to pick one up whenever Bell decides to release them. Anyone else thinking about giving it a try?

Better yet, anyone here got there hand on one yet? If so what did you think?

I'm gonna go check em out once they have em in the stores just to see how it feels. Looks pretty nice though so I would consider it. Too bad I'm not with Bell so I'll have to wait and see if Rogers picks it up after the initial 3 months.

I learnt my lesson with my storm, to relax and wait 1-3 weeks after release date to see if there are any major faults cropping up :P

Sorry I know this is off topic...but if you still have your Storm, update it. The new OS for it (.151) is solid. Plus with the OS soon updating from 4.7.x.x to 5, and the new BBM v5, the Storm will be the phone it was supposed to be at launch lol. I, unfortunately, am on my second Storm (warranty). My friend, is on his third (warranty) lol. Still...a great phone.

Back to the Palm Pre. I had a Palm Pilot lol, and have seen the Palm Treo's... solid products. Best to wait and see. Don't jump right away like we did for the Storm. If you don't end up going with the Pre, I'd suggest a Blackberry (Tour, Bold, Curve, or upcoming models Onyx & Storm 2) or any current HTC phone.

Looking to pick up the Tour or the Storm sometime next month. Do you guys have the $30/month unlimited everything (data, email,IM,etc.) with bell? Does anyone know if you can add this feature to a corporate plan?

You can win a palm pre from bell here : http://pre.bell.ca/register

:P That's how i've been able to live with this phone so long - i've been on the up-and-up with leaked OSes, although in reality it's kinda sad we have to rely on leaked software that, in theory, voids warranty, to get a functional phone. I've moved back to .151 last night, but tried out 5.x for a day - it just leaked a day or two ago, FYI, from a Chinese cell carrier.

Stay well away from that version of 5.x... You have been warned! :chuckle

If it's anything like Telus (which it probably is... Bellus is coming), you normally have to have a voice plan that costs at least $30 a month before being able to add one of those unlimited plans. BTW, unlimited data will almost 100% not encompass tethering.

Not sure about Bell, but I know Telus tends to release it's $15/unlimited plan with new data phones (ie. Tour).

Not trying to jack the thread, but I just wanted to comment on Telus' plans, I just picked up the Tour with and they no longer have the $15 unlimited data plan is what I was told. I think they wised up, I think the max you can get with Telus now is the 4GB. But +1 for the Tour, absolutely loving it!

Did you have to call in to get it added ? I don't see the $30 package on the website anymore :(

my issue with the Tour, and most of the new BB's, is they don't have wifi. That is a feature I really want.

I had to manually call it in. They first said it didn't exist anymore, and I replied saying, it was what my coworkers recently added, and is departmental recommendation.
They then added it for me.
