So it was my first time going to the Casino at Orillia this weekend. I think I made a decent profit for a beginer.
I was just curious to see the most you guys have won, or lost, lol

So at slots first time, profit $52, :)
Then SicBo, profit, $50
War, Profit, $40

Friend profit $280
another friend $-70 lol

And I saw a guy win $1800 with a $10 bet at SicBo, :whoa

Im craving to go back and just sit at War all day, cus its easy and low bets :)

I use to travel to Las Vegas once a month, now I aim for once a year. Once you gamble in Vegas you never want to gamble in Canada. I have won & lost many many hands in Blackjack & have plans to try my luck with Poker. Biggest blackjack hand I won is $3500.00.

i was niagara last weekend i lost $60 at fallview then went over to casino niagara and won my $60 back and $280 on top of that roulette is my game at the casinos but it gets really packed on busy nights

i hate the slots, i never seem to win but my gf put $20 into a machine and second pull she won $150 must be nice

I dont' even want to get started on my winnings and losses.....will just tell one story from the last time I was in Vegas:

The time before last I had won abour $3,000 playing BJ and Poker, so I had it stuffed in a shoe box as most gamblers do in between sessions....so I was ready for my next trip to Vegas, grabbed the cash and departed. Stayed at Mandalay and decided on the first night to go shoot some BJ at $100/hand....figured hey I had 3K profit so if it goes it goes....I got on a cold streak and lost it all down to $100 within 30 min......so I put my last black chip in disgusted, got a blackjack and then let my all in bet ride 3 more times in a row....slowly worked my way back up to $3,000 and went to bed happy, scared, and disgusted at myself all at the same time. Anyways the next day we all walked through the Venetian and I saw this Photo Art Exhibit from Peter Lik, and saw this sick photo (if you haven't seen this guys work you should)......anyways I ask the guy how much was the piece, he's like "Great price, $3,000" like he somehow new.....4 hours of contemplating later and I decided hey I just about lost that much in 30 min, might as well have something to show for it, so needless to say its hanging on my wall now and I love looking at it every day LOL

So wait....I guess that would mean a $3,000 loss hahah

That makes no sense at all, your chances of winning are 50/50. Don't fall into that trap. Casino's prey on people with that kind of thinking.

Edit: Sorry, made a few thousand off sports betting then lost a few ... and now I broke even. It makes watching sports so much more exciting !

i had just put 3 toonies into a giant oversized slot machine at Casino Niagara and then proceeded to lean on it while talking to my friends and waiting for someone... a lady came by and stuck one toonie into the machine and won the progressive jackpot of 16 thousand dollars.. needless to say im still sore about that

yea i guess its 50/50, but i find it to have more chance then the other games. If you lose at war, your always going to win it back sooner or later, unless you are really unlucky, and dig yourself into a big hole.
But i cant say much as im a first timer, i havent played the other games, but yea I noe what your saying.

I used to work security at the Casino during the Ex - saw lots of big winners and losers (money and then some!).
Personally, my best day was in a casino in the Bahamas - before getting to the cash-bar, saw a one dollar coin left over in a slot - the jackpot was just won (over $2000) - no one around, so yes, I took the dollar coin, put it in the next machine - bam - $50 - took that to Roulette - was up to almost $2000 - walked away with $450 after a few hours. Haven't been since! ;)
My sisters good friend won $50,000 at one of the those $5 slots in Niagara - she was with him at the time - crazy stuff!!!

slots have the worst odds of any casino game
SicBo is kinda fun, I don't like the crowding at the table.
War, lol one card draw. Simple but the house edge is pretty big.

Don't expect to win everytime you go to the casino. All the odds are stacked against you.

I have never gone to a Casino and used my own money.

I've been to the Sudbury Downs a couple times. Once I went in with $20 of my moms money and came back out breaking even. Another time went in with another of my mom's $20 and came out with like $40 (all on the slots).

Also, I've been to Bingo once. My friend paid for $10 worth of tickets and I won $50 ($40 profit after I reimbursed mon ami)

Cut your losses now and quit. Those games you play are suckers games. Hugely profitable for the casinos.

The only game in a casino where you can get better than 50-50 odds is poker and that's only because you're not playing the house. There you have to manage the rake. Oh, and the other players.

All other games are stacked in the house's favor. You can tip the odds in your favor in blackjack, since is the only game in a casino with "memory", but to do that you have to count cards and that will get you thrown out of most casinos.

1. Congratulations. :)

2. Would you call any of the games you played "games of skill"? If not, then random chance rules. The casinos make sure you never have better than about a 47% chance of winning. At best. Slots are far lower. 47% doesn't sound too bad. Now, try betting on 100 coin flips and see how you do. Remember, your odds are worse than that in a casino.
