Anybody heard of Hood Ride? If you haven't, it's mostly done on European cars... and when done right, I think it looks tooootally awesome. Usually people follow up by putting some crazy expensive rims on them lol. Like in the pics below, you'll notice that some of 'em have sweet rims made by BBS, ATS, etc etc. Sometimes it's also know as Rat Stylz.
What do you guys think?

Oh I also forgot to add, they're usually slammed too. So LOTS of surface rust, expensive rims, and slammed.

He wishes that was a ViseGrip. That's a very poor knockoff locking pliers. I wouldn't be caught dead with those on my car :chuckle

There are a few Dubs around Toronto with the rusted hood look. I think I saw an Accord run around town like that as well... At first I thought someone had a major paint accident, but than realized it was a "style". Digg it. Who would've thought rust could be done tastefully. Haha!

Before the 3 I had a Focus, it's been somewhat popular with Focus Tuners too.

just sand the paint off the hood, down to bare metal, and let nature take its course.
some even go as far as clear coating over the rust.

I actually like the bug... rest looks like junk.
The focus looks great except for the hood, and hood risers!
Its a little strange i'll admit... but definately different. I think on older cars it would look kinda kewl, but on newer cars I think it looks stupid.
Just buy an aftermarket unpainted hood and leave it outside... ta da!!!

I think some of you are missing something... the rust that these cars have is just surface rust. They're technically not rusting through/bubbling like the kind normally found lol... if that makes any sense :chuckle

The vice grips were not holding on anything... the bmw has decent a pillar damage so he rusted it out it use to look a lot better (imo).

but I would never rock rusted hoods, trunks or whatever else you wanna rust. I'd pay to get the rust fixed if I could afford to do all the above mods to my car. I think its kinda stupid to have such a nice car with rusted body
