I just browsed the APA (Automobile Protection Association) and the website has on-going investigations for MS3 about these 2 problems if happen for anyone.

http://www.apa.ca/template.asp?DocID=115

Mazda 3 : A noise heard when idling (after 100,000 km) could be caused by a worn valve in the air intake ($900). Please complete the complaint form if you have had this problem.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mazda 3 2004-2006: The APA has determined that many 2004 and 2005 Mazda 3s have corrosion problems, notably on the rear fenders where they meet the bumper cover, the trunk, hatchback and welds where the outer door skins attach to the inner door. The APA is seeking Mazda 3 corrosion complaints from consumers whose cars are showing signs of corrosion. If you have had repairs done or your car is rusting, please complete the complaint form.

Cool, thanks for the FYI. I knew that the APA was taking complaints about the corrosion issue but did not know about the worn valve in the air intake.

Anyone here have this problem?

I've kinda noticed in other threads too, that you two have a little 'hard-on' for each other... :)

I think it might be best for you guys to get a room and get the McLovin' started, or, failing that, we start up a TM3 UFC match and I'll start taking bets now... Anyone, anyone??? I think Ron is younger, but 'The Man' is meaner, not quite sure who to put my money on. I'm givin' it even odds. :chuckle
