My headlight went out last weekend so I figured might as well upgrade instead of buying a $30 Halogen bulb that will only last another year or two.

I went with Illumination Technik because it was cheap. I'm unemployed, its time to save. I had this installed at N1 Auto, I know they've been around well over 10 years. It took an hour and $50. Andy was very familiar and knowledgeable, answered all my questions.

My only other experience driving a car with HID is the family car, VW Rabbit with Sport Pkg, comes with HIDs with auto levelling.

In comparison, colour is exact same as the Rabbit, at 6000K. Intensity is better on my kit, with the immediate area in front of the car very very bright. The rabbit is a bit more even.

Distance the rabbit wins, i think because of the auto levelling. However not by much, my new HID kit was fairly good.

I was told it takes a few days for the gases inside the bulb to even out and will get brighter.

For the money, this is good. Question is...will it last...but it does come with 18 month warranty!

My only gripe is I don't see any safety certification markings (UL, CSA, CE) on the box. I hope its on the product itself. Get what you pay for!

dont worry alot of the kits around now are all the same with a different name stamped on it to make it cheaper but enjoy them

Drove a few hours on the QEW/403/401 last night.

+ Very bright
+ I pulled up next to a 2010 Mazda 3 GT and my HIDs were whiter and intenser
+ Compared to a VW HID, its the same colour, but I have more intensity

- Passenger Side Bulb isn't as bright, I believe its install error. Going to have it checked out.

The 2010 stock wioll use 4300 rather then 6000 as per factory specs so that's why it was whiter and your bulbs need to "burn in" basiclaly like a break in period

I have these HID's and oddly enough when it rains the right headlight doesn't fire up. I have to keep turning it on and off and then it finally turns on...

it's just a connection issue , had the same issue or when you hit a bump it flickers , tighten everything up and your good to go like taco bell:superman

Passenger Side Bulb seems to be okay now. Going to do a few more farm road runs.
