grr low oil!!

Ok i just brought my car into the burlington mazda dealership because ive driven about 4500 kms and my oil indicates that its at the minimum line, so i put in a litre of oil it brings it up just under the max line. I get a call back from the mazda guy saying that maybe my car burns a little more oil then the average mazda3 and most mazda's go down or below the min line between oil changes and theres nothing to worry about because even if its at min there still 3 litres of oil left. Once i added that litre of oil i could tell the difference it was running much smoother which leads me to think that this couldnt be right :s I dont drive my car very hard, i giver the gun once and a while but never start it up fast. Any comments? Get it checked by someone else?

I can honestly say that not once has my oil level ever changed in between oil changes. I doubt that I've ever burnt more than a teaspoon of oil. Are you able to see any leaks anywhere?.

My 04 never goes through any oil between changes and it has just over 100,000 km on it.

i cant find any leaks, i feel the under plastic cover and theres no oil there, no blue smoke, no smell, nothing on my spark plugs...i just hope the dealership isnt just saying that so they dont have to replace my motor, should i/is there any dealerships that would be better to check out?

my mazda3 is low on oil when i change it too, at times.
however, the one time, it was cuz i drove 2000km's in about a week's time, and the other, i went about 3,000km's over. whoops.

im honestly, not too worried about it.

did you check the dip stick more than once?
When I check the oil the first check shows I am low on oil, but when I recheck it a second and third time the level is bang on. I don't get it as it happens every time

Just cause you drove 2,000km in one week does not make it use oil
