For those who have time to waste and a taste for history may I suggest:
http://photos.dezmix.com/then_now For New York City
or
http://www.urbantoronto.ca/showthread.php?t=6947 for Toronto
That's pretty neat. It's to bad there wasn't more shots about T.O.

I really do not know where to begin on this topic. I have fond memories of College park when it use to be Eaton's just before they relocated to the Eaton Centre. And the stretch of Yonge St that use to be THE center of the Music universe in Toronto ( Sam the Record Man, Sunrise, A&A(??) and HMV).........

nice find :)
The NY ones are awesome, it shows how they maintained their history in such a busy city. The first few pages of Toronto bored me... you could have put anything in place of the now because they dont really represent anything of the past...
Nice thread!

Nice thread!
I am sooooooo pissed at the politicians on this! There were so many architecturally interesting buildings that have been relegated to AgOxide/digital images just for PROGRESS.......
