Thankfully my wife and her family are fine. Their area/house wasn't affected by the flood, but she was stuck at work when the typhoon hit. She spent the night at work, but then decided to walk home (about 20 km) the following morning! It took her two hours and she encountered flood waters up to and about waist level.

I am more worried about out wedding coordinator since his house was within a kilometer of the Marikina River in Marikina. There, flood waters reached the second level of people's houses!

If things weren't bad enough, a category 5 typhoon is on the way!

My wife and kids were suppose to fly back to canada the day Ondoy hit which was Sunday night. Scared the living shit outta me. Their flight was cancelled and made it safe here yesterday.

St Paul and Peters church in Mississauga is accepting donations. They will be shipping weekly donations to Manila. If anyone has something to donate, drop by the church and help out. :)

Thank God the new typhoon Pepeng changed course... it will now be making landfall on the northern part of the country... not the areas still under calamity...

I hope it doesn't get as bad there.... from what I heard, it's more on the Cagayan side which will get the hit

the damn thing even came back!!!!
everyone was relieved coz it kinda sidetracked and moved away from the country, but still it was able to make a bee line and hit the motherland head on..
WTF?! are they remote effin' controlled now?!?
I hope there won't be any casualties from this one - haven't really recovered from Ondoy yet.

I don't mean to sound insensitive or anything but....
..."Ondoy"???!! C'mon man, if I heard that on the radio......"We interupt our programming because Ondoy is coming....", I'd be like, "Maaa. Tito ondoy is coming. Can we have pancit?! Or lumpia"

Couldn't we have named it something a little more fierce?
"Ondoy".....might as well have named it "Typhoon Tito Boy"

That being said and before you call me an ******* - I did just drip off about a dozen cases of adult incontinence diapers to the drop off centre here in Scompton, along with some sando, slippers and shorts to aid in some relief.
