View Full Version : Brilliant day at Oakville mazda!

Well, today was the day to get lowered. I approached this day with some trepidation, not because I was worried about dropping the car down, but from past experiences at the dealer. After a tiny bit of prodding from friends to return to oakville, I booked in with Andrew. He treated us with respect and was full of knowledge, answering all of my questions and ensuring that I was Taken care of. Tiffany greeted us with a sparkling smile and treated us as though we were her long lost friends. Genuinely making us feel important. Lets face it, Jason is quite an important person, with a million tasks to attend to everyday, but still took the time to sit down and have coffee and chat about previous experiences in his passion to strive for the very best his dealership can be. His technicians did a phenomenal job on my car in way under the alotted time and made sure we were happy with their work too. It's re-assuring when the mechanic who services your vehicle, drives a mazda too!. In short, Jason and his team have won our loyalty and future business. Well done, I can't recommend them highly enough!.

What did they end up charging for the install? When are you going back for an alignment? That is if you are getting it done there.

You can inquire at oakville mazda about the cost of install with the service dept., the alignment will get done in two weeks when the springs have settled.

I think he was trying to ask if they overcharged you for the install, not because he was thinking about taking it there (But I could be wrong).
I too am curious to know what a dealership charges for an install of springs......that statement in itself seems like an oxymoron to me lol.

Just curious what the install cost is. Whether it is reasonable or not. Just for others who might be shopping around. Most people typically won't even look at at a dealership to install springs because of the expensive labour rates, that's all. I thought that if you got the install done for a decent price, others might be interested.
What kind of springs? Are they open to aftermarket products or just OEM?

The price was much less than some performance shops were. Less than some private garages even. Call Andrew or Tiffany, they'll help you for sure.

so you are saying you paid less than 40$-60$ for the install?
if so, you shouldn't be so secretive about it, and hook the other forum members up with the good deal infos! :)

Leave the guy alone, if he doesnt want to say what he paid (which i dont blame him) the he doesnt have to. If your so curious just give the dealership a call. By the way congrats on the lowering of your ride B&T's 3. I saw the other pics and they look great.

If everyone is treated fairly and receives the same good price it should not be a secret. Thats retarted.

Im not saying its a secret, but the guy does not have to tell you how much he paid, if he wants to keep it to himself the let me dont bother him. You should call and ask what they charge. And "retarted" is not the word you should be using. Thanks alot for your input but i really could car less about what you have to say.

I don't disagree with your statement, however, not everyone is treated fairly or receives the same prices. I'm not trying to be a dink, it's just a matter of fact. I've been to some shops that have told me that I don't need to pay, or have had to pay very little for 2 hours of work if they weren't busy that day. In fact, today I had a garage help me troubleshoot some issues and I had to insist they take my money.

Exactly, not everyone gets the same prices, thats life and we should know that by now.

I agree and it sometimes depends on their mood. But that should not apply to a dealership...period. Maybe private shops.

Looks like its that time of the month for some of you ladies...
I'm just sayin', I question the validity of his statement that he paid less at a dealership than say... Street Performance.

I guess you haven't dealt with Jason,Andrew or Tiffany at oakville mazda then. You might just be surprised how hard they work to get peoples business.

I have to agree with B&T's 3.
I am certain that if you called Oakville Mazda, speak to Andrew in parts, he will give you the same care and pricing Bill & Twila got.
I don't like to post prices here inless it's a group buy thing.
The dealership should always be a fair price for whatever and whoever.
Call and see what they say.
I know they work hard at Oakville Mazda to win your business so get a price from them, shop around and and make sure there is an apples to apples comparison, and then make your decision.
I can't see them charging you more because they don't know you.
Remember you also get the 15% discount from them for any of the board members. Just make sure you let them know you are a member and your screen name. They enter that into their system to ensure you always get the 15% parts discount.
Good luck to all of you!
Another great review for Oakville Mazda!

keep in mind that the 15% only applies to mazda 3 owners and not any other mazda vehicle.

if you are part of TM3 and own another Mazda we can definately work something out for you on parts and labour, we are also a sponsor on TM6 and with Trilium (Miata club) just call or PM and i will be glad to help all Mazda owners out
First time on here....and still have 6 months or so left on an '05 Hyundai Lease....but with all the praise for Oakville mazda and my living not too far away (in Burlington)...it makes it that much easier for me to consider making the switch---if the price is right of course and if the service is as great as it is being made out to be!
Anyways greatly appreciated forum...keep up the great posts!

i dunno what you paid but i was just quoted $400 for prokit installation w/o alignment... plus when i mentioned that I'm TM3 member I was told that $400 is already a 'reduced' price for this '2-hour' installation... :loco

SAY WHA!?
That is ridiculous. This is exactly why I asked how much the going rate was because others will get an outrageous quote like that. Thanks for calling.
So much for an AMAZING price at Oakville with a TM3 discount...

I appreciate the feedback, but I must say I'm a bit confused. When this posting went up with some questions about our pricing, we immediately did some research into what competitive dealers (and some chain stores) charged for removing and installing front and rear springs. Of those stores that could/would do the work, we were the least expensive, by a significant margin. I'm not saying that we are cheap, but I am saying that when it comes to TM3 members, we work very hard to make sure we provide great value.
I don't know what the expectation is, but I'm hoping that we are not being compared to "Joe the Mechanic". Those of you who have switched over to us, know that we stand behind the work we do and are committed to your satisfaction.
As always, I appreciate your feedback, and if you have specific things we can do to improve, or you want to email me your research into this, I would be happy to sit down with our Service Department and check it out.

I agree with this statement 100%
So far, all the work I've gotten Oakville Mazda to do on my car has been excellent work. Yes, they are not the cheapest, but sometimes I'd rather pay that bit extra for the piece of mind that Jason and the service department will look after me.
Oh, and Jason, look what I found in the newspaper the other day!
