Okay so here’s the relevant info (at least i think is relevant)

I have:
Hks Exhaust
Vibrant Headers (with the 2nd o2 sensor bypassed)
K&N Intake

They have been installed for about a month and no lights have ever come on.

The last 2 days it has been raining non stop

Driving to work on the highway (wasn’t shifting over 3k rpm's) i heard a BANG sound -- (sounded like a rock hitting my car but as if the rock came from inside the engine bay) -- and didn’t think too much of it called the person in front of me a **** for knocking up a rock at me

Drove the car home no problem parked it called the g/f; went and picked her up

twice in a row had baddd shifts coming outta 1st, car hopping coulda been some bad clutch work as well as soon as it was jerking/bouncing i would step on the clutch put it in 2nd and it stopped n car went perfectly fine.... was scare i somehow burned 1st i stopped the car took off the extra pair of socks i had on praying it was just me not feeling the clutch catching -- and after that didn’t happen again. thought w/e fk it went on and picked her up went to get a sub stopped the car again... got the sub went home hung out for a few hours drove her home ... i used my car starter ran to the car and when i put my key in the ignition the car just turned off on me :S i was like wtf (this happened to me when i was going to work as well) so i complained to my g/f about it than started the car again manually this time this is when the light turned on...

i have synthetic oil according to the sticker it says i have another 800+km's till i should go for an oil change ... ( it’s been about 1 1/2 months )

any suggestions?

(since i had to drive her home with the light on, the car seemed perfectly fine, no issues what so ever on the drive dropping her off)

Better get the code checked. Dont go to the dealership since they charge 90$ + for diagnose. If you live in mississauga and wont mind drivin to where im at ( hwy 403 and winston churchill ), I can read/clear the codes for you. :)

check your maf sensor plug... it might have stretched pulling a wire from it.

Its happened to me before, had the same symptoms *minus big knock* and had it repaired.

Also remove the clips attaching the MAF wires to the battery holder. That caused mine to stretch.

My past experiences.

clearing a code doesn't solve anything, its just avoiding it longer.. Dealerships can be particular with a problem.. regardless, if you want them to have them take a look at the problem or tell them what you encounter. ITs better to be up front with them.

The code only gives you the reason and then you would know whats wrong..

bring it to the dealer, and they would ask if any codes or light was cleared.. you tell them yes, they will need to inspect the problem by diagnosting the problem.

Better to show them the light if you dont know the problem. It will cost money either way you put it.

well i think i figured it out ... i have no oil, and when i say i have no oil i whiped my dip stick put it back in and it came out even cleaner :P

it didn't even stain the very bottom of the dip stick

shoulda figured it was me leaving all thoes stains on my drive way ... (out of all the 5 cars we have in there its mine... of course :@)

n i would have taken it to get the code to look it upmyself i wouldnt have just got it cleared n called it a day lol
