HID'S with no DRL

Im down in ottawa, and i just hooked up some HID'S which are sweet! but, now i dont have any DRL'S as i hooked them to my parking lights. Has anyone else done this? Is it illegal to drive without them ?

Solutions would be great!

I also was given the idea of the anti flicker capacitor but the guys down at the shop i bought it from told me that the capacitors only work like 30% of the time, and they have like 4 different kinds that they have installed on mazdas and they just work by luck .. He did not reccomend them at all...

No you shouldnt need that anti flicker device. Atleast i didnt need it. Im also in the same situation with the loss of DRL. I was told you need some kind of relay to fix the problem that you can buy at any audio store, works the same as the $50 actual relay for the hid kit. I havent gotten around to doing it yet.

If you come with any fix give me a heads up please

There are a few member here that run the anti- flicker cap. I've set up my car with the anti-flicker cap since June and there have been no problems.

I got mine from a shop, when he installed my Alarm he did it for free... and ya im pretty sure its illegal in ontario, at least that's when i got from reading the ministry of trans. law book thing online

and the hids flashing like that could... (prolly never would) get u a impersonating a police officer ticket
