Try searching and you will find lots of info. You might need a camber kit, depending on how low you go. Many people say you can lower your car on stock struts, but I always say get struts too. After your car settles get an alignment.

Learn to mount curbs and enjoy your new and improved handling.

Nothing else but an alignment a week after the install! I have the pro-kits and that is all I had to do!

Yea thats what a lot of people say, just get the springs. But i might get a camber kit and keep the stock struts. How much would an after market set of struts run me?

I would say anywhere between $400-800.

You might want to change strut mounts and dust boots
There's a GB for a Rear Camber kit
get an alignment

Garage 16 had a GB but I think it fell through (miscommunication between G16 and their suplier)

Are you lowering before or after winter? I'm so torn on whether to hold off till spring or get them on soon..it's not going to be easy once I get the prokits delivered.

So what your saying is that if i get the Eibach prokit, i dont need to get a camber kit?

Depends, some people are ok and don't have any wear issues, yet some people need them because they do have wear issues. It's really hit or miss.

is it more common on a certain model or year or anything? or is it more random?

Unfortunately it's pretty random that I know of.

If you get lucky you might not need to get a camber kit. I always have passengers in my car and a trunk full most of the time and I thought for sure Id need one but when I got an alignment, Pat at Altech said it was just a little off but still ok and that he made it "better". So I'm happy that I dont need one :). I say get it done wait a couple of weeks at least before getting an alignment. I waited 3 1/2 months before I got an alignment done and no uneven wear on the tires. Lucky me.

Yea thats probably what ill do, thanks Jerson. I think ill just try it out in the spring and see what happens! i have the 18" mazdaspeed 3 rims so i hope it wont be different than running a set of 17"s.

+1 to this.

I was told I wouldn't need rear camber links with the Eibachs. After a summer of driving I saw that I should in fact get them. Wheels are much straighter up and down now.

I'm a little hesitant because I won't be using snow tires..and I don't want to be a snow plough. I am very tempted to put them in soon though

No seriously, there is nothing funnier for the outside observer when someone's car gets stuck on a speed bump.

from what i've read. most ppl dont need camber kits with the prokit + stock everything else. u'll find out after u get ur allignment if u need them or not.

gibbons3
10-29-2009, 09:42 PM
are people getting exact stock specs while on prokit without the camber kit? or just really close?
