That's got to be one of the best-looking Lexus cars I've seen. The back reminds me of recent TVRs.

All things considered though..I'd rather have the Exige Scura :)

Love that V10 sound. Can't see how people would pay $375,000+ for that car, I would take a Ferrari F430 at that price or even a F458.

What Peter wants, Peter gets? :chuckle

It's a very nice looking car... worth 400k? probably not!

$300K/400K for a Lexus isn't happening at least for me if I had the coin to blow

when you get a car like that, you probably have a few Ferrari already.

and this lexus is limited to 500 in the world

Agreed, with only 500 being made its going to be exclusive. Lexus will ony be selling to select buyers as well. Just because they have the cash, it won't guarantee their name on the paperwork.

They will have a special lease program so that the car doesn't switch hands so easily.

This is one of the most beautiful cars I've seen. I love the interior, exterior and love that v10 exhaust note. Heard this thing took 9 years to make...but 375k is just way too much. Though it would be a very rare car to see. I also heard they will be handpicking who gets to buy this car....so not some guy that will just store it in the garage...but someone who would actually use it on the track....can someone confirm that?

Last I heard it's $350k US.
Tried to order one, but Lexus replied and I quote: "sorry mate already have 400 sheiks and 99 Russians (one of them red mafia boys got himself 2 apparently) ordering all 500 manufactured bolids. We thank you for your interest in our cars. We suggest a plug-in-electric-hybrid-hydrogen-nuclear-reverse-trust-sideturbo-Wankel-atkins-cycle-diet-nucleusfak powered Yaris sedan from our sister superslug division ToyoTa".
...I'm late again....

:) Seriously I don't get this car or rather its price tag. Even considering all the gizmos and advanced engineering. The upcomming and hugely improved 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo ( I'm biased, I love all things 911) is less than half price and it is faster and has heritage.
Even the ugly IMO Nissan GTR is what 4 x less money? I do understand that rich people don't give a flying f... about U$350k, and possibly they already own Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo and even Tesla. I still don't get it though. But than again I'm old :)

do car manufacturers have any sort of guarantees that they will only produce 500 to protect the resale of these things?

they can always go after selling the 500 for 200% overasking price, they decide to produce 100000000 more and screw the first 500 owners

why would they ruin their own company's name by doing that when they can just use the same engine and do a new moldel and sell more that way?

its a limited product. we will never understand cause we are not the target market.

like I said before, for those that can afford this car probably have a few Porsche and Lambo's already, they just want another car to show, they are not looking for the best bang for the buck car lol

I think its for the group that makes over 10+ Million $$ a year

so this is just change for them

I agree that the engineering will be used in the lesser Toyota models. Not the carbon fiber body though :)

merge? (http://torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=38486)

it truly does sound awesome, and the idea of a lexus without the 'vanilla' does sound appealing, but then again that amount of money for a toyota - hm...i dunno, i can think of a few other cars i'd spend it on before buying that.
