Apparently this has been on the news, so if everyone has seen it, i apologize. None the less, still looks like the biggest parking fail i've seen!

those divider curbs sure help to climb cars. love the moment of hesitation when the driver estimates whether or not to stick around.

Wow. Would it be possible to top that (no pun intended) in terms of worst attempts at parking ever??
Driver probably mixed up the pedals...so instead of braking they accelerated.
BMW should use this for their promotional campaigns! That SUV was able to drive off pretty well after crushing 2 cars.

anyone who ever wondered weather an X5 would be good to convert into a trail rig just got their answer. As for catching the guy, one of the cars that got crushed is one of the guys who actually takes care of the security system. Apparently the video image is not clear enough to make out the number. Guessing though since he was going to park there i'd assume he was a member of the gym they should be able to cross refference all of the members names with a list from Mto, seeing if there are any gym members who also own bmw x5's and then take it from there. Don't know if there will be any privacy issues in doing that but I can't see that there would.

technically it should be covered under the gym's policy rather than owners' since the cars were parked on their property

haha, well I wasn't commenting on your stereotyped comments, Fobio ;) I was pointing out that most crazy drivers I see personally are the typical hot shot middle aged man, of any race for that matter, who believe they own the road and don't need to pay attention to what they're doing. Especially here in Ottawa with all the big-time, over paid government workers who can barely keep their SUVs on the road!! lol, they're better off in a limo.

Well it could be a variety of things. hell it could be a 22 year old blonde woman who was driving daddy's vehicle hit the gas thinking it was the brakes, then scared to shit ran away and was shaking all the way there... and wont forget it... but thats just another stereotype... who knows either way the person knew they did it and haven't confessed yet.

I wouldn't be suprised if they already have a person of interest. For something like this, the media doesn't get wind if an arrest has taken place. Most likely it is a gym member and some people would recognize the vehicle. They would let the police or gym know of possible suspects and they would go from there.
For an investigation like this, I don't see why the police wouldn't be able to get some info on possible suspects at the gym. The insurance companies would be screaming for the culprit to be found.

I dunno, I know you are correct because she is from a part of asia. But generally people dont classify south asian people as asian. When people asian, people normally think oriental. And when you ask a south asian person they would say they are brown (no racism intended). At least this is what I grew up experiencing. And I know because I lived in Brampton for 19 years and majority of my friends whom i grew up with are so called "brown"

last year in the Sunnybrook Plaza (bayview and eglinton) it happend twice, both were really old drivers and one hit the gas instead of the break and went through the front of Home Hardware. then a month later another old lady bounced off the front of PharmaPlus and ened up ontop of 3 cars, somone had to climb up and pull her key out the ignition cuz she was in shock and couldn't take her foot off the accelerater! this is like around the corner from where i live, just glad i wasn't parked there or walking there!
