Hi everyone,

I was splicing in some wire to run LED strips and I clipped my driver side connector off that runs the turn signal bulb... but I was testing stuff out earlier and I forgot I left the ignition on and the power to the headlights on, so when I clipped the turn signal connector wires, I shorted out the connection.

I clipped the orange and ground wires together, completing the circuit. :bang

The low-intensity (non-flash light) no longer works, but the turn signal still works. The bulb is fine, I swapped them and it worked in the passenger side.

Did I blow a fuse/component somewhere? I opened up the panel in the engine bay and didn't see anything relevant. Everything else works which tells me it might be something else?

Need some advice!

There is another fuse box underneath the dash on the passenger side. Did you check there? It should tell you where the fuse is for the turn signal in the owners manual.

Haven't checked the PJB yet. Though, I'm reluctant to blame a fuse if the blinker still works, and only the normal parking light doesn't? I could be wrong though.

Two different circuits to the same bulb. Pretty much guaranteed that you've toasted a fuse.

Good point - I'll try the fuse and report findings! I looked it up and I believe its the

fuse, #81

aw man, you should never cut 2 wires together for that reason you can blow fuses. you deffinatly blew a fuse. you can cut 1 wire at a time even if the power is on and you wont short it out. but once you cut through 2 it connects them and shorts out the circuit. if you can find the fuse, replace it, if not take it to the dealer and it wont be that much.
im an electrician apprentice, trust.
