are all steel rims "universal fit" as long as the bolt pattern and rim size match? offset should be "one size fits all", correct?
found a set of 5x114.3 15" steel rims that came off of an older Nissan Quest and looking to get them for a 2007 mazda 3.....test fitting wont be an option so i want to make sure it'll fit before i buy them
any advice is appreciated!
thanks!

Need to make sure the the centre bore is 67.1mm or bigger (67.1 mm is hubcentric for the 3). Offset.... well, you can get away with anything from stock 52.5 mm down to high 30's depending on tire width. Although anything less than 42 is pushing it.

thanks for the replies
i found out that the Nissan rims are 66.1mm centrebore...which might make it a very tight fit. will the 1 mm really make a big difference?

I'm not trying to be a dink, but do yourself a favour and get the proper rims. Don't get rims that are close to fitting. You can end up with all kinds of problems if you get ill fitting wheels; more than just problems with the rims. Call Allen at Simply Tire or John at Exclusive Wheel and Tire and they will hook you up with info, and wheels if you need.

And yes 1mm makes a huge difference, because they won't go on over your hub. That is the difference of not getting proper rims.

If you can stretch the 66.1 hole in the steel wheel of fit over the 67.1 mm hub, yes they will fit. :)
As already stated, buy the correct wheels, messing about with the wrong ones isn't worth it.

sorry if I'm thread jacking but would winter steelies at 15x6 5x100 (195-65-15) differ that much than 15x6.5 5x100 (195-65-15). Would it throw off that much?

Someone will be along shortly to tell you if you can stretch a 195 on a 6.5 inch rim. Stock the car comes with 205's on a 6.5 inch rim (FYI). I'm sure you are aware but just in case, the bp on our car 5 x 114.3, so the 5x100 won't fit.
