Just installed a set of Hella Supertones a month ago and am not finding them to be as loud as they are perceived to be by others.

I connected it straight into the stock horn connector (just a direct swap of the stock horn)-- wondering if the problem is because I didn't use the relay provided?

I'm not sure if anyone else has done the install and how they've gone about doing it but I think there's lots more potential in the horn than what I'm seeing..

Help would be much appreciated. :bana

they are loud enough for me and i used the stock horn connector. how can they not be loud?? did you stand in front of your car and press the panic button? or did you test them while you were in the car....

I thought the same thing as you, until I stood in front of the car and had my wife blast me for 5 seconds. I think they are too loud now... Excellent.

+2. Stand 10ft in front of your car when you test them. Also, many have said using the relay makes the horns louder. I don't know if this is actually true or not, but mine were installed using the relay and all I know is that they are plenty loud.

also where did you install them? when I had mine hidden behind the bumper it sounded like they're a bit muffled... but I moved them behind my grill, now they sound better. and +3 stand in front of your car and test it. After all, you honk at people in front of you. if they're beside you, you don't honk... you throw something at them :chuckle

its not loud when you sound it in the car
but if you stand infront of it, or in a vehicle in front of it
trust me its LOUD
