I'm confused? Two threads I've started now have been like this. Is it wrong for my to want to build my post count. I'm trying to spark conversations and maybe make some friends along the way so I don't see the harm done? :bang

Maybe you're posting something that other users read but don't post any answers because of interest?

Good luck with that!

Valid point, I've had replies to a few of them though. So I dunno, any mods willing to share?

Nice ride by the way... one thing: replace that ugly long anthena by the short one ;)

I'm guessing it's because you're avoiding multi-quoting (replying to multiple quotes with one post) to seemingly inflate post count.

Cuz it's annoying to read 400 multiple posts by the same person one after the other. Nothing personal, it's really nice that you try to reply to everybody's comments, but it just lengthens the threads to the point where people don't really want to read them anymore.

Your post count will build quick enough without even realizing it.

Ummm I think he's already been there... done that. ;)

Although I wasn't the mod that edited the post this is most likely the reason. Nothing wrong with getting your post count up. But if you end up making 5 replies in a row to 5 different people it looks like post whoring. Learn to multi-quote and it will go a long way.

This thread has been moved into the General Lounge as it has little to do with Mazda's.

Please write UNDER anything you quote as well, just something small that pisses me off.

This is a quote, see what I mean?

As mods we also keep an eye out for people trying to up their post count quickly just so that they can use the Buy & Sell section. We have many lurkers just trying to come around to sell things, most of the time they also bring back old threads with comments that probably could have been left out.

In your case you just had way too many posts in a row that was jamming up the thread. At your pace you would have a whole page just to your responses. We don't need that in threads as it causes people to lose interest. Please learn to multi-quote in the future and this problem will be averted.

I am going to lock this thread as I feel your question has been answered and if there are any problems please feel free to message a member of the moderation team.
