the lamin-x and the screws holding the fog to the housing are completely siezed. I'm soaked them with deep creep with still no luck. Any ideas on what I can do here. i thought worse comes to worse drill it out and re thread it but seems like alot od work inorder to install the lamin-x. I tried doing it out side by cutting out 3" cicrle but I kept getting wrinkles. What to do... :bang

Heat gun or a hair dryer may help when doing it on the car.

That may have been my problem. I live in a condo so I have no power supply while I'm down there. But maybe now it will work seeing that I have the fogs off now. Thanks.

Why are you taking off your fogs to install lamin-x ? The wrinkles will eventually go away . Use soapy water when applying.

I didn't remove anything... just had wet fingers and patience (wet fingers prevent finger printing the film)

I'll be at the meet tonight...lol. But my buddy had some of the stained glass paint kicking around so I might go that route with clear of course. I'll bring them anyway with the lamin-x.

Well I installed my CAI last night and I was planning on paint the housing either flat black or I have this graphite paint I might try. I'm not a fan of the silver rong around the fog. I used the directions before but I had no heat source, was doing it in my underground which isn't heated so it was a bit cold. Plus I'm a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like this so if it ain't right I'll rip it off (which I did... womp womp).

I read that in the instructions whick I did. I used soapy water and tried to squeege it but the film kept moving and wasn't grabbing any where.

Oh ya the soapy water method makes it take forever. I learned that with a clear bra.

An option to avoid removing the fogs/using soap and water is to get the ones on the lamin-x site that have pre-adhesive. Just peel, position and press firmly. Tada! lol
